I'm not moving to Spain, if that's what you're getting at ^^ It's way too hot and it's got the seperatist fever all over.

And I don't really care much about football anyway :p

I don't see what's wrong with the United States; sure, a lot of people there are fat lards, etc., but it doesn't mean you have to act like them. There are plenty of job opportunities, homes, and places you could go. It's also pretty safe, with the exception of several infamous cities :/

The way I see it, its near impossible to be able to move to the US without marrying someone more or less.

Is that a bad thing? Or do you mean marry someone before moving? It's natural we all get married at some point in our lives, so why not just move to the states, settle down, find someone, and get married? :D

You have to marry someone to get a green card? I live here, so I'm probably just taking everything for granted and being ignorant of my country's system because that's how stupid the average American seems to be.

Damn, too late. If you can live for the next five years by spending the least amount of money that you can and learning some good practical skills at the same time, go to a halfway decent third world country instead. You'd be rich, well-respected *simply because you're freakin white* and with what you know, you can embed yourself in the upper-class, easy.

If you don't mind having a rather apathetic political scene, and population in general, Singapore is a decent country to consider. Like you said, you want a place where people are ambitious. Singaporeans fit that description well.

There is little difficulty in moving to Singapore, due to the highly efficient bureaucracy (immigrations). Singapore is always trying to attract "foreign talent", so if you have good credentials it's a guaranteed work permit. There is a (relatively) large group of expatriates in Singapore making the transition easier.

However, I don't think its a good idea to move away from your home country just because you think that your country sucks. Like they say, "the grass is greener on the other side". Every country has its problems, and our home country is no different. Personally, the culture and feeling of home in my own country is enough to make up for many deficits of it.
Same difference is not an oxymoron!
