Whee, 4 people posted in my previous blog, yaaay ^__^. I love you so much, here's a waffle for you guys (>^_^)># and a song you will not regret listening Here ya go

Anyways, here is the first part. Click on the cute face n__n

This time, we'll be covering extreme metal from Canada. The order of the bands is random.

Here goes nothin...

------------------------------------------------------------

#1 Quo Vadis (Technical Melodic Death)

+ Show Spoiler [Break the Cycle] +

How do you desctibe a technical band... they are all different from one another. You will have to listen to them yourself.

#2 Arsis (Technical Melodic Death)

+ Show Spoiler [We Are The Nightmare] +

+ Show Spoiler [Forced To Rock] +

I dun even...fast, technical riffs, drums, awesome breakdowns, harsh vocals and yet, it sounds soo...melodic, worth checking out

#3 Cryptopsy (Technical Brutal Death)

+ Show Spoiler [The Pestilence That Walketh In Darkness] +

+ Show Spoiler [Slit Your Guts] +

+ Show Spoiler [Cold Hate, Warm Blood] +

BEST.DEATH.METAL.VOCALS.EVAR! Too bad Lord Worm retired, although "Whisper Supremacy" (The album "Cold Hate, Warm Blood" is from) is amazing as well. I like it when he returned to record another album, before the band officially disappearing from the scene. It was so sad. They had potential... Either way, this is the band that refined Technical Death and added brutality into it. Oh, did I mention the Godly drummer...yep...

#4 SpermSwamp (Cybergrind/Goregrind/Jazzgrind/w/e)

+ Show Spoiler [Cum Cyclone] +

+ Show Spoiler [Fermented Anal Nectar] +

I Love obscurities and this guy...he's un-fucking-believable. He does one of the best cybergrind out there (as well as some other crap ^^)

#5 (the) Plasmarifle (Technical Death Metal)

+ Show Spoiler [Haunted by the Ghost of a Dead Actress ] +

+ Show Spoiler [From the Trail of Ashes (ft Alissa Whi…] +

+ Show Spoiler [I Hold You Close To My Heart / This Is…] +

Obscure riffs, deep growl, high pitched screams and clean singing at some point. The mix is something to die for

#6 Negativa/Thy Ceremony (Experimental Avant-garde Technical Death Metal)

+ Show Spoiler [Chaos In Motion ] +

They have released only one EP (you can find it here and that's it, but they are pretty awesome. I dont know how to describe their sound tho, they are...technical? Their sound is similar to Gorguts, but that can be expected, since it was formed by former Gorguts members

#7 Neuraxis (Technical Melodic (progressive at times) Death Metal)

+ Show Spoiler [The All And The Nothing] +

Thanks to KNICK for reminding me of those guys.

You have the guitarist of Quo Vadis here, it can't be bad, now, can it?

#8 Augury (Experimental/Progressive Death Metal)

+ Show Spoiler [Aetheral ] +

*sigh* To tell you the truth, I never knew these guys were Canadian. Its a good thing Neurotripsick mentioned them, props to him.

#9 Gorguts (Technical Brutal Death)

+ Show Spoiler [Earthly Love ] +

Its a shame I forgot to put this guys here. I mentioned that Negativa is made of former Gorguts members, yet forgot to put 'em on the list. Silly me ^^. Well, at least I fixed my mistake

------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for everyone who read it till the end. Hopefully more than 4 people will express their opinion this time. A man can dream, can't he?

Anyways, cya guys, till next time

EDIT: typo

Cryptopsy and Quo Vadis are great choices, can't really get into Arsis and don't know the other three (yet).

Just in case you're not familiar with them, Neuraxis (also from Canada) are a great band:

And thanks for giving me some bands to check out!
I close one eye, and I see half. I close both, and I see everything.

As much as i love Arsis, the drum triggering gets to be a bit much - one of the huge turn-off of modern techdeath for me . OP do you like more traditional grind like Napalm Death and Pig Destroyer, etc?

I do like traditional grindcore, tho not Pig Destroyer. You should try Infanticide, Nasum, Defeatist or you don't know them

Quo Vadis and (old) Cryptopsy are awesome. Neuraxis is a pretty solid band, too. A great Canadian band is Augury. Experimental(1st album)/Prog Death Metal.
Yeah, well, you know, thats just, like, your opinion, man.

The first three bands you listed are a few of my favorites. And I've seen Neuraxis live once, and they put on an amazing show. Although I really dislike Arsis' 2 latest albums, A Celebratioin of Guilt, and Diamond for Disease are a couple of my favorite tech-death albums.

boy, i never knew Augury were Canadian ^^

There is no "new" Cryptopsy, Cryptopsy died after their 2004 album with Lord Worm.

OP Edited.

BTW, feel free to name what country you want me to present next. I was originaly thinking about Poland or Italy but if you have suggestions, do tell

I totally agree about lord worm, his vocals rule and it's a shame he isn't making music anymore (that I know of).
I have to nitpick something though, you called their album "whiter" supremacy, it's whisper supremacy, wouldn't want someone to get the wrong idea..
