Today I was lucky enough to get a free ticket to Wimbledon from my buddy, but alas only for court 2.
Anyways, I saw some good matches and I brought my camera, so I thought I'd share some photos with TL: (Put spoilers so I don't ruin any results for people)
+ Show Spoiler +1st Match: Kuznetsova vs Amanmuradova (I think): This match was really boring, I'm not going to lie. This is not a criticism of women as a whole, but I find women's tennis to be pretty dull. However, this match was made interesting by the fact that Amanmuradova is the most masculine woman I've ever seen. ![[image loading]](http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/9881/img0365gx.jpg) Man or Woman? You decide! ![[image loading]](http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/1278/img0363d.jpg) A nice wimbloden view from our seats all the way in the back row  Anyways this match was pretty uneventful with Kuznetsova winning in 3 sets. 2nd Match: Blake vs Hasse: James Blake is my favorite tennis player, so it was nice to get to see him in action. Unfortunately he seems to be going through an extended slump, and he quickly lost in 3 short sets. ![[image loading]](http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/4593/img0376iw.jpg) Even though he lost, I still got some good action shots :D 3rd Match: Ferrer vs Kiefer A great show from Ferrer, he completely dominated Kiefer from start to finish, was a joy to watch. ![[image loading]](http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad129/_drag_/IMG_0383.jpg) 4th Match: Sharapova vs Person I can't remember Had to leave this early, and worst of all my camera ran out of batteries. When using imageshack you need to copy the direct image link, you can't use the webpage in an img tag.

Must be some crazy tennis to watch from the stand though! (regardless of the player)

Yeah, there is very little creative or consistent play in the women's game, seems to be whoever can hit the hardest (William's sisters) win.

Well I watched Flash crush a random and I was like wtf... so boring... game ended in like 8 minutes.
Then I watched like two scrubs go back and forth and it was hella exciting.
I'm not saying each women's match is going to be as exciting as each men's match, but some are going to be boring blowouts. Roddick's first match was pretty boring, too.
Edit: I do find more women's matches boring than men's matches, though. I kinda wish we could get, like, more Navratilovas running around or something.

Sorry, I misunderstood "every point ends in like 2 shots." My mistake. I see what you mean now.
I actually tend to agree overall. Close games with tons of bad play are boring. But close games with tons of decent but not spectacular play—games where people aren't making mistakes, but just don't have the same skill that the top players have (edit: I take this to include more or less every foreigner match ever)—can, I think, be a lot more entertaining than yet another Flash/Jaedong/whoever beatdown with no real challenge or competition. I like watching good people play, but I like seeing some competition.
