if you watch purepwnage you'll know it's a show where they generate their humor through nerd/gamer mockery. It's not supposed to be a true stand up in any way shape or form... It's clearly acted and fake for show purposes. (as all of their stuff is now) You have to view it as such or else it won't be funny at all, it'll be weird. | ||

I'm quite surprised you so completely miss it, do you even watch Pure Pwnage? He's supposed to fail hard, using jokes that are intentionally shit. Just like the HILARIOUS time early on in the show where Jeremy sees a protest outside the Chinese embassy and says something like (I can't exactly remember) 'They're probably complaining about how OP China inf is' and joins in. It's showing his disconnection to general people...not that he is only really funny to nerds. Although, SC related comedy is always good. | ||

You shouldn't be doing it because someone else did it "badly" (notice I put badly in quotes). You should do it because you want to. Now why did I put badly in quotes? Well, if you take the time to look at what Pure Pwnage is, then you'll actually feel pretty silly thinking this was real stand-up. If you realize in the first 15 seconds of the video they even show you that he is from a TV show, which is a spin-off of the internet show which has gotten thousands upon thousands of fans from all over the world. These guys, Jarrett Cale (Jeremy, teh_pwnerer) and Geoff Lapaire (Kyle), Travel all around the world when a new episode of their internet show is released. Jarrett is even an avid starcraft fan. He has said himself that he is playing in the sc2 beta, and has been playing sc bw for years. Even in the Television show you can see he is playing BW aaalll the time. New to Pure Pwnage? Watch this video. They are still even in character in this, look up pure pwnage on youtube and you'll find interviews with the real cast members as themselves, not as their character counterparts that everyone knows them by. http://purepwnage.com/original_series/video/new-pure-pwnage So bottom line, make starcraft comedy because you want to... not because these people made bad comedy ON PURPOSE. | ||
