1.) Point out that the people making fun of your favorite band etc are "just jealous" because they arent famous and the band is. 2.) Point out that at one point in history abstract art was considered tasteless. From now until the end of time anyone can create anything and no one is allowed to say its bad (even if it absolutely is) because abstract art wasnt instantly liked by mainstream art critics when it came out. 3.) If anyone cites The Beatles or any other classic brilliant artists as proof that your garbage favorite band sucks, just say "If the Beatles are truly great musicians then why did they go out of style?" INSTANT WIN 4.) And if all else fails, just break out the classic undying age old get out of jail free without having to use your brain argument... just say "people have different opinions". Nothing keeps people scared to point out the flaws in things like the fear of being accused of being anti-free speech. If a terrible band makes a crap song, but you like it because you wish you were cool like the guys in the music video, no one can say anything bad about the song or the bands level of talent or skill, because that means they are against free speech and they are trying to "define art". Which is impossible because art (as everyone knows) is SACRED and anyone in the world can do anything they want no matter how terrible it is as long as they refer to it as "art" when they are done. | ||
