I always use sendspace, but I guessed it must have some downside to it coz everyone likes to use these obnoxious sites over sendspace.

Meh I prefer 4shared and megaupload to rapidshare. I personally use MediaFire myself. Rapidshare hates me and never lets me DL crap faster than 20 kb/s.

As long as it's not rapidshare it's fine (so slow compared to all the other file hosts). Also megaupload is only 25 second wait before downloading files, and unlike rapidshare there is no mandatory FIFTEEN MINUTE wait between the end of the previous file and you starting the one minute countdown for the next one.
Yes I hate rapidshare.

If you dont want to wait you can use scripts to remove the basic timers ( not the 15m rapidshare wait thou AFAIK).

Since i don't use them myself i can ony offer an googled example here.

http://www.filesavr.com/ is my favorite. It has an extremely simple interface and you can upload up to 10gb. Also, no ads like every other fileshare site.

4shared keeps the file online for a long period of time, and the 40 second delay is only for big files.

IIRC sendspace caps your download at 50 kb/s, which is really annoying for anything bigger than like 1 mb. Also agree with mediafire.

http://ifile.it is the best out there. No ads, massive max upload size (Mediafire's main shortcoming is the 100MB limit), no waiting to download, save your uploads and browse through them later. Simple interface. It's ideal.

Honestly, 25 seconds often doesn't make it faster considering that most other sites dick you over on how fast the actual download is.

MediaFire is ok for less than 100 mb, but I find it to be just a slow site in general because of how heavy it's use of ads and flash script is.

Not to mention MegaUpload offers reliability... Dunno how long these other sites have been around, or how long they will be around.

Not sure about Megaupload, but MegaVideo recently screwed up almost every single video on the server.
