Well I've had the beta for 10 days now. Although, I've only played on 6 or less of those days. I've always been a protoss player and that's what I've been sticking with during the beta. I do have a love affair with terran though. I dabbled with them a bit, and I think that I broke a bit less than even in about 8-10 games.
I really enjoy SC2 though. It's very intriguing. Sometimes it's a game that lasts only 4 minutes or it's a turtle fest or it's one of those epic games that are just back and forth back and forth and you hope that you were able to multi task enough to get up that expo that saves your ass in the end. The units are similar yet so unique in their own way. Blink is just wtf awesome sometimes. And though storm is a bit weaker than it was in BW, there's still nothing that makes me smile more than force fielding behind a bunch of zerg hydra/roach and storming the shit out of it with my zeals charging the front lines.
I played NonY, well I think it was NonY, depends on whether or not he still uses his kruppe.noknee account, regardless... he raped the shit out of me (THOUGH THIS WAS DURING MY AFFAIR WITH TERRAN!) not that it would have mattered at all. haha it was kind of funny though, I saw the name and i was like... should i say "gl hf"? decided not to. Though we are both Duke fans (i'm from NC) I figured nah, fuck it, I'll just say @ the end when I inevitably lose.
It's pretty interesting though... When you play a big name like that I mean. Because it's almost as if you already psych yourself out to lose. I remember in the loading screen the thought crossed my mind to cheese rax him but then I was like no no he's way too good for that, so then I was just like meh, fuck it, I'll just play him straight up and lose anyway. Pretty sick mindset to have going in to a game. It kind of sucks in a way, I mean, we're both playing the same game, yes he is better, but I lost before the game even started. Hmm oh well.
Well, i'm going to continue to drink this 40 oz of King Cobra (disgusting, i know.) and play a few more games and hopefully reach #1 in my division by 6 am LOLOL. w/e. This is my first blog entry, and i'm quite wasted. Notice all the comma spclizingzigngzzz lol. <3 you.

I thought NonY played on a NonY.(something) acount now? Either way, I know what you mean, when I was playing in the CraftCup[US] I went up against Drewbie, and another week qxc. Both times I was like alright I am going to lose and hopefully get a good replay out of this.
EDIT: Yes, I didn lose to both of them ofc. Drewbie played me straight up which I appreciated. qxc 8 rax reaper rushed me.  I learned a lot from both games though.

In the most recent account reset, he changed his name to NonY.teamliquid (before that he was on kruppe, and before that on TylerSC)

Nah, I just said "gg" and left. but, I dunno may or may not have been NonY idk. I just knew he played on name kruppe.noknee or some shit like that, so I just assumed. his apm was sick high though. and his bo was spot on.
yeah that mind set is just sickening. about the only other "famous" dude I've played was Testie waaaaaay back in the day (he probably hacked vs me, well... obv 'cause he won rofl jokez). It was a weird feeling, not one that I've experienced. I wasn't like "OMG OMG OMG IT'S NONY OMG OMG OMG OMG" it was more like "meh, it's nony, gg.". Or if it was someone who spoofed one of his aka's, then GJ YOU FUCKING NEWB YOUR BO SUCKED AND UR MACRO WAS SHIT! lol jk.

Yeah I remember at the start of the TSL2 season I vsed Louder and shat my pants when I saw the host name. I got rolled so hard, but it was a cool experience.

i remember i played ret one time on iccup when he asked someone in the irc channel for a random game (probably wanted to noob-stomp before he went to sleep)
i did SO bad. I lost before the game even started.
this is basically how i felt going into this. i also thought of going proxy 9/9 so i could say "YES I BEAT RET ONCE" but i decided against a dick move like that.
i basically lost to straight up hydras and couldn't think straight

With no disrespect to the OP, if he just got the game 10 days ago he probably got placed into a somewhat newly created platinum league(eg platinum league 278), I'd judge more on ELO than rank
