Hey guys,
Just picked up a beta key and I’m looking to play some SC2. My current comp has a tough time handling the game.
There’s a chance I could pick up a laptop for short money but not sure if it’s going to give me a better gaming experience.
I’m pretty ignorant when it comes to these sort of things.. so I’m hoping you guys can help me. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

thanks for the input guys. Any suggestions of an affordable laptop or desktop that will be able to run it. Having a hard time justifying buying a new comp for SC2 alone.

Maybe upgrade your current desktop's graphics card? What's your current system?

Actually I have run SC2 on my laptop with intel GM something, and it runs at about 20-30 fps. However, it doesn't run smoothly, but you can definitely watch replays and such with it. I suggest you install it and try out for yourself.
Edit: oh you don't have that yet, then get something with a dedicated video card. Anything that's not on the motherboard chipset will be better. I suggest mid-range GeForce 8 series. They will probably be able to run it on low and make it playable.

I have an nvidia 6200oc and my framerate 1024x768 is great. the problem for my computer, though, is that my processor is 1.8GHz =(

Actually.. I have a desktop.. but I was looking to buy that laptop
my current PC is terrible for this game right now.. and I wouldnt know the first thing about upgrading it.
