Tonight, while I was washing up all the dirty dishes after a long day, I accidentally listened to Hero by Mariah Carey. Suddenly, it reminds me of an old video.
Someone might think that I’m crazy over Bisu, mainly because of his handsome appearance. Then, I will say they know nothing about me.
I failed my final exam when I was at 9th grade (senior year in secondary school) though I was a good student. I thought I had lost everything. I didn’t make it to a famous high school. I was living without my soul.
I began to hate everything, including StarCraft – my favorite game of all time. I could not find it as interesting as how I had felt. To me, life was as boring as a fuck. I started to throw myself into MMORPG. In such that cyber space, I didn’t have to think of anything but to train level quickly. I watched the time passing with my “blinded eyes”.
One day, I saw my friend’s status on Yahoo Messenger: “Today, sAviOr vs Bisu. Who’s gonna win?” I just wanted to say hi (and I did it) but because of some unknown reasons, I asked him about the guy named Bisu.
“Who is Bisu?” “He’s a super rookie. He plays Protoss. He’s very handsome. He also beat your Nal_rA in the previous round” “What? Nal_rA? How about the score?” “2 – 0 in favor of Bisu” “Huh? No way!” “Way! Well, I’m sorry but your Nal_rA lost ….” “T___T. Ok. So today is the final day match, isn’t it? Ok then I guess I will watch it myself. I heard that sAviOr is very strong so I hope sAviOr will beat Bisu for me!!!” “Hehe, yah, sAviOr is the best player for now. I don’t think anyone can beat him at the moment” “Yah, heard about that. Cya later! Thanks for the info. We’ll discuss about the matches later. hehehe”
Later, I watched the games on yaoyuan.com. Honestly, I was like “wtf, who the f*** is this guy? Where the f*** is he from?”. Bisu, this guy, made me incredibly surprised! His strategy was so good that sAviOr could not be able to pull out his army. About his excellent harassment with Dark Templar or Corsair, I was speechless.
After 3 games, I stayed on my chair quietly, kept staring at the monitor. I had never ever seen such a style. It was not only artful but also effective. In my life, I had never met such a beautiful thing like that. “Is this what I have been looking for, isn’t it?” – said me. And you know, I felt like a flower started to blossom within me. Up till now, I can even remember exactly how I felt 3 years ago. Everything’s just like yesterday.
I decided to return to StarCraft and follow Bisu. The more I watched him, the more I liked him. He is the perfect mix between Nal_rA and Pusan. I collected every VOD of his matches, his photos and his stories on Teamliquid.net.
When he lost, I felt so bad. When he won, I felt happy for him. When he failed to achieve his third MSL title in consecutive, I got my teary eyes. Looking him with the head down, it just broke my heart. When he was in slump, I believed he would come back someday. When he won his third MSL and GOMTV Season 2 titles, I told myself that he would be dominating again.
I didn’t know when I became a real fangirl. I had not been this way before, even when I liked Nal_rA so much in the past.
Bisu used to be my inspiration to work better. Now, I’m working for Garena Vietnam (or you can think I’m working in eSports scene, living the dream!). Sometimes, I think if I hadn’t watched his games that day, what would I have done? I can’t imagine because it’s a kind of destiny. Without his game, I suppose I would not be here and writing all of things above.
Recently, you should have known the rumor in which Bisu is reported to involve in match rigging or illegal gambling. It depresses me very much. It’s beyond my imagination. As a StarCraft editor for a Vietnamese eSport portal, I have updated everything for Vietnamese fans.
After publishing the first article about this case, my boss came to me and praised my work. He said he liked this series of drama and he hope I will be able to catch up with it. If it was an article about other things, I would be very happy with his compliment; but this time, I feel very empty and disappointed.
And I believe there are many people who are in the same mood with me. Though we are strangers to each other, please share me your feelings. You will definitely feel better after writing some words, like me.

Very nice. Few people would admit such admiration for a single player, but I definitely know people feel the same about their favorite player. Recently, I felt the same watching Fantasy first play and now he is under investigation too u_u

I play zerg, and I hate protoss as a race (maybe because I'm awful at zvp, and it's supposed to be an ez-mode mu) but Bisu is my second favourite player of all time (Jaedong ofc nr. 1). Watching Bisu at his peak was just unreal, such mechanical superiority to mostly everyone else mixed with lovely creative strategy's/cheeses was a thrill, and seeing him fail so hard lately hurts even more than those match-fixing rumors. When he was thrown out of this recent MSL in such an embarassing fasion, I nearly lost all hope of him returning to the beast he was. But I still hope someday he'll return and show us how protoss is supposed to be played!
I hate Protoss because theyre BM and their arbiters are overpowered and their DTs keep dropping in my base and their zealots rape my army and their recalls are gay and they mass expansions but I really enjoyed seeing Bisu do well. His PvZ at his peak was amazing. In my opinion any Protoss thats awesome at a matchup that isn't PvT is awesome. Conversely, I really hate Protoss players who get results by abusing PvT and then being not spectacular at everything else + Show Spoiler +

the stork bash is completely unwarranted. he's got a 55% winrate against zerg and a 60% winrate against protoss. 65/60/55 is not an unreasonable distribution at all. if he were something like 65/55/50 that might support your statement.
i say might because this is not 2001, and protosses do not steamroll terrans with ease. it doesn't make sense to carry the prejudices of one era into the future where they no longer apply
Similar story with me. I got kind of detached from the scene when my old idol Nal_rA lost 3-1 to Savior in one of the MSL finals (Pringles, I think). Then I come back a year later just in time to catch 3.3, and before you know it I'm a Bisu fan
I feel your pain. First he gets an ugly ass hair dye, then he gets his ass kicked from both leagues when he was in free win groups, now he is under investigition. And it really makes me sad to see him slump so hard. He is my 2nd if not tied for 1st favourite game (I had to put Stork in 2nd in my sig, there was no other place he could be).
Zerg had Jaedong and Savior to dominate the scene, Terran has Boxer, iloveoov, Nada, and now Flash. Protoss only has Bisu. He created the age of the dragons. He pretty much set the standard for how toss should look with the hair and shit. It is almost as if the success of the race depends on the success of Bisu. All I can do now is pray and wish him luck.

Sure, low level players like you and I can fall back on crying imba, but at the highest level, with current maps and trends/playstyles, the fields even. So a protoss winning against a terran isnt less of an achievement then a terran beating a protoss, given similar skill levels.
I hate Terran because theyre crybabies and their free maphacks are overpowered and their vultures keep dropping in my base and their tanks rape my army and their mines are gay and they turtle like brainless tools but I really enjoyed seeing Flash do well. His TvP is amazing. In my opinion any Terran thats awesome at a matchup that isn't TvZ is awesome. @OP, I really wish bisu isnt involved in all this rigging stuff, but It could be a possible cause for his losing so many games. Maybe after he wanted to stop throwing games and start winning, he simply didnt have it in him anymore? Please come back beesuit ;.;

Did you seriously just bash stork like that? Stork...the only protoss who was able to keep up with Bisu during his height? The same protoss who was the only protoss that could take games off of Bisu...and still beat Zergs when he had to?
I'm a huge Bisu fan too, it hurts to watch games he loses so I don't watch them unless I happen to be watching them live... I took a break from Pro SC when Bisu was slumping, but then came back just in time to see him tear a new one through Jangbi.. and then his period of domination, watching his games were truly art. Seeing him pull off wins against builds he was disadvantaged against with his ungodly micro, his multi-fronted harass attacks, and his perfect macro was just art to watch. One of my favorite games was him beating Jangbi's 4 gate all in with a 1 gate tech expo build, just simply mind blowing.
Now he's in a major slump and I just don't feel the same enthusiasm for other players that I had for Bisu :\ Pro SC ain't as fun to watch when your hero is down..
Bisu really motivated me to play Protoss. I'm so sad that he's doing bad as of recently. I saw this one thread over on YGosu with pictures proving how hard he practices. It's just sad to see a player of his caliber + potential do this bad.
Oh, thank you so much for doing such a hard work. Though I'm not good at writing, I wrote it with my real feeling for him. He was the one who influenced me very much so it's pretty hard for me to accept the truth. He is now under investigation about illegal gambling. I hope it was just rumor.
