Such an awesome anime/manga, keeps improving. Very sad day though as I've finally run out of funimation dubbed episodes!
The last two episodes I watched, 129 and 130, were excellent in terms of production quality too. Very strong dub; I really don't want to switched to subbed.
Apparently funimation dubs have actually been broadcast in Australia on Cartoon Network in edited form from 131-174, and unedited from 174-195 or so, they just aren't out on DVD yet. I don't want to watch edited, so I have to make the decision now between switching to the sub and watching the rest of OP in about a month or going at about 5 episodes per month waiting for funimation dub releases.
I'll probably stick with the dub as I really fell in love with the characters and their voices are an integral part of them, along with the fact that it is annoying to read rather than hear. I've only watched Bleach subbed instead of dubbed and got used to it, but I think the dubbed is stronger.
edit: Was on the train a few days ago and someone sitting across the aisle and a bit behind me saw me watching One Piece and talked a bit to me about it, turns out he follows it too and had just watched ep 445 or whatever the latest one is, and was into Bleach too.
OP fan crew assemble!

Been kind of making a journal of my OP watching through my blog, dont want to join any larger threads as they have a lot of spoilers.

Storrzerg-poo, if you used the search function you would have know hes making his own journal through One Piece.
I've said it in your previous ones, so I'll say it again here. IMO switch to the subs. You have 300 more episodes to go, and One Piece is too good for you to quit. Also, Storrzerg here started them with the Dubs, but then was able to switch to the subbed version easy enough. At least, I think he switched to the subs.

I can't believe this is even a question...
I wouldn't be able to stop xD

Just hurry and get to the Enies Lobby arc so you can really gush about OP!

I don't even understand how you can watch OP dubbed to be honest. I find the dub to be just absolutely horrible overall and really a turn off to watch. The sub is done extremely well in comparison. Though you have watched 100+ episodes dubbed so it's probably not an issue to you, but do yourself a favor and just switch over to subbed since it is already on episode 445.

You should give sub a chance man try watching them both if you really enjoy the dub. I havent watched dubbed version but i hear sub is better.

Then I guess my e-status just took a giant hit, because I stand by the statement.

cz-aniki ~!
Subs > Dubs by far as for me and you r actually one of the first persons I hear that say they prefer Dubs o_O

Just tried watching subs, wasn't the same at all. Was much worse than the dub.

imo for every dub, sub is better 99% of the time (except for dragon ball, goku's voice is terrible)

It's not worse, it's just that you are used to the original dub. That's all, if you watch something in once voice long enough you wont care about the other voices anymore. And I'll gurantee you that the voice acting in the japanese version is much better and has much more feeling put into it for the majority of the time.

Can u really wait 4-5 episodes a month for dub knowing theres still 300+ episodes already out? I know i couldnt =\. Im having troubles just waiting 1 week for the newest episode
|
no way will i stop until i see the last episode out LOL
you seriously will wait for months and months to catch up? maybe a year?

Once you start watching animes subbed, you never go back to dub.
Oh and @micronesia watching anime is a lot more enjoyable than reading manga, albeit story being much slower and more fillers.
|
Does anyone know a good place to get subbed versions of ep. 111-390? I've been watching them on Hulu and it stops after 110, don't think I can wait anymore T_T

...not sure why you directed this at me but ok lol
I watch anime unless there is no more episodes such as claymore/hunterxhunter in which case I read manga.

i cant make myself watch the dub just because i ABSOLUTELY have to hear what they sound like in the actual version
if someone made a character sound squeaky than probably thats what the impression they wanted to make
