To do this, add him has a friend, right click-->more-->report abuse. I selected "harassment" and noted that he absolutely will not leave me alone. Earlier today I posted curious if anyone knew the commands to block someone on battle.net 2.0:
some fucking asshole read my post and has been chat bombing me so much I can't even play. I completely fucked up in game as a result and I'm so pissed off I can't believe it. His ID on US is "Course".
if someone could find his identifier so I can block him, I'd be much appreciative. I'm seriously so angry I could cry. I wasted 500$ to go to the god damn game developers conference last week, only to end up in the fucking hospital because I was so sick and exhausted. @Day[9] since no one posted in your earlier thread no one here probably knows what the command is. Wouldn't be better to post about it in the Battle.net forums, (all of them) instead? A blue or a fellow Beta tester should know what the commands are. Also, report the person for abuse/harassment by email. It might help.
yea you can report harassers/hackers/sites via some blizzard page, someone posted it in that maphack sc2 thread. Also, I think there is a way to add someone who messages you from the chatlog in a game or something, probably not since bnet 0.2 sucks.

I saw that on a stream once, you add someone as a friend then right-click and press Report?
It makes me really really sad to see my hero getting harassed by some random prick If you set your status to Busy doesn't it universally block incoming PMs? haven't tried it just taking a guess.

Yeah, when you add someone you can view their profile which shows their last 5 games. You can then open one of those games and add his opponent to your friendslist, block communication and report abuse.
What we can do is check our various 1v1/2v2 divisions for someone named course, cause it shows their identifier when you mouse over them on the ladder. I just tried this, no luck.

I mean, Course.hda was being downright awful. He absolutely would not leave me alone in game, after game, when I logged off and back on. It was mindblowingly shitty.
KunfO and a guy named Delita were also doing the same shit to me too. I have to perma-ignore them as well.
I can only imagine this will get worse in the future when the game is released and the younger crowd gets involved or a lot more of the WC3/C&C players.

Yeah, anyone with a stream will probably have to slap their banlisk around pretty regularly. Being able to block all incoming traffic except for people in your friends list might help. Introducing "invitations" to chat with people not in friends list, with a countdown so people can't spam it might help calm some of it down. Just have a little box pop up somewhere not too annoying "Do you want to chat with this person?" "Yes, no, never"

I tried that but it's REALLY inconsistent. It seems to block chat from someone if THEY are in a game and YOU are not. Doesn't work if you're in a game, or if you're both out of a game. Weird eh?
LzGamer ran into this guy like 3 times last night, he never scouts Lz and then complains about it. Last game he said he HAD to build mass turrets to defend banshees, so it wasn't fair that he got 3raxed. :3
I'm new to SC... played WoW at a very high level (don't laugh) for 4 years and just decided to check out an RTS.
I simply can't believe there isn't a simple way to (1) block messages from a given user (without tons of sleuthing to figure out some ID) and (2) block all incoming whispers when you're busy. These are trivial in WoW (well, you get addons in WoW which are insanely powerful...).

Well Fixee, I seriously hope it isn't a problem once the actual game is released. I think some things aren't implemented yet since it's just beta.
Hopefully the final game will have an options to block messages except from those on your friends list or something in case you are having problems with this.
