Meh happens to me every once in a while. Since 98 I've had 2 year breaks on about 3 occasions, where I just completely lost interest. While I play other games sometimes (rarely) it's always been bw that drew me back in eventually.
|
Eh i feel a bit the same but more because of the Sc2 schism and having less time to play because of my studies. But i will still browse and make a couple of one liners once in a while :D
|
Good luck. It is always unhealthy to force yourself into something your heart is not into- it works in very strange ways. I hope whatever new interest that pick you up serves you well in the future

I go in and out of shit all the time. Mainly, out of Starcraft when I realize how bad I am at it. lol
Do what you want... this site has enough loyal denizens to take care of it for many more years of self important snobery and elitist n00b bashing. I'm sure you'll be warmly welcomed back should you decide to return.

Being disinterested doesn't mean you outgrow it necessarily.
Also I think it's kind of lame to say that your time is too valuable to do what we are all doing.

Yeah, Especially if he's dealing drugs too, how is that in any way productive?
With regards to the actual post, good luck with life... hopefully you'll return some time!

just leave if you're going to leave? why post an attention blog if you really didn't care about SC and TL anymore you would just disappear..

attention whoring detected

You probably will be back. I'm finding TL pretty uninteresting for the most part too, but I can't keep away. I just love theorycrafting... and it's so easy to quit games, but so hard to quit something so accessible as browsing.
Also disinterested means 'without bias' I'm pretty sure you mean uninterested (in case you are going to take the SAT's soon this could be pretty important)

Dont know, but visiting TL has become a habit or a daily routine.

|
Good luck!

I feel that way too...but I still stick around when I'm procrastinating, or really don't have anything else to do.
Don't worry about contributing, just have your fun here on the site...after all, it sounds like you've contributed a hell of a lot more than I have...lol.

you mean other than monetarily?
i know some people that make more money than i do with minimal risk and a lot fewer hours.

you'll be back. they always come back.

Aww, it is your first taste of the Post - Contribute - Burn Out - Leave TL for a while/post less - come back cycle. I'm on my 6th or 7th iteration of the cycle at this point (although I only really contributed back in the clan art days, since then I've just been a relatively useless poster.)
Don't worry, you'll be back if you want to be, and if you don't I'm sure nobody will hold it against you.

this is very true.
except that i only had one cycle of it and have been a useless poster ever since.
infact, i respond a lot more often than people think. I'll read a thread and compose a reply, even proof read it and edit for sakes of clarity. And then before i hit 'post' i get disgusted with either what i'm saying, or my attempt to care or contribute, and close my broswers instead.
i probably do this for 75% of my responses.

you havent quit. you will be back you drug dealin bastard!
Edit: Mora I do the same thing. At first I was all "yeah lets contribute!" and tried my hand at uploading videos to stage six and stuff. Then baezzi came and started raping shit up and most technical questions were getting answered before i could even open up the topic. Now I find myself posting 100% useless shit and one liners, hence I barely try and post at all. Look at my above original post, thats the kindof shit that comes out of me

You're not the only one..... I was just tempted to do it again too lol.
|
I already did it twice trying to formulate a post along the lines of "I do that too."
|
well what the hell!
why don't we make a resurgence?
We were TL.net before, why not be again!
Let's take TL.net BACK!
Boohah!
|
Can we have a different battle cry than Boohah?
|
|
I often do that too Mora.
Mostly coz I realize I don't really give a shit about the topic I'm replying to.
|
I only ever really post if i feel I can contribute something to a discussion that hasnt been said before, or to thank someone who deserves gratitude from TL as a whole that makes up around 40% of my posts, the rest is mostly just me insulting people i disagree with while trying to stay under the mod radar and within the commandment boundaries

oh, i missed this, no wonder ghermination hasn't posted much recently

No he posted another story about his delusional life of drug trafficking and how he got busted with 85 billion pounds of cocaine so he posted his own bail so he could get on the internet and let us know he's going to jail for the rest of his life. It go closed since it was a classic case of someone implicating themselves in illegal activity while never actually supplying any proof under the guise of being afraid of incriminating themselves (while posting about on the internet no less) which in 95% of cases means it's made up entirely
|
and why would posting fake stuff about "being a criminal" be as popular as dudes posing as girls in online games?
|
I don't know what you just said
