So yeah... I had a Computer Networks test today, and it wrecked me. Part of it was insufficient detail in my studies (whenever I'd get lost in the test, it'd be a terminology problem rather than a conceptual one). Part of it was succumbing to pressure (the ARP caches were empty, so why did I think R2 would reply to the ARP request instead of PC3?). Part of it was overconfidence (the homework was really easy comparatively). But for better or for worse, it's done, and now I can feign some degree of enlightenment to an internet community.

To recover from a midterm you performed poorly on, study harder for the final so you can bring back your grade up.

Just remember when you're successful, you can tell people you give your motivational speech to that you failed your networks final and STILL became a millionaire. What distinguishes you from other people won't really be how much you accomplished, but how you overcame your failures and still became successful.

I bombed two midterms, one last night and one this morning. Brain atrophying over Olympic break = gg

I had a midterm from 1:00-4:00 yesterday. I stayed 'til the last minute!
I stayed up the whole night before, and couldn't sleep after the test because I kept thinking about the questions. When I woke up today, I felt totally sick lol. I think staying up killed my immune system or something. That midterm gave me a cold.
I feel your pain, but I also feel your enjoyment-- Spring Break starts on Friday, and for some reason, my school has a ridiculously long one! 5th til the 22nd =)

Update:
The TA graded fast! I got a 64/100, which was better than the worst-case scenarios I'd been afraid of (and definitely better than some other midterms I've taken).
My sadness is also mitigated by the fact that I got 87/89 on another class's exam.
Over Spring Break, though, I'll hopefully spend my time working on the Static Router project for that class. Since projects are worth more than exams (and I already got 10/10 on the first project), I should be able to recover. Bo5 indeed! And thus life moves on.

For every point you got off the exam, make sure some form of "fag" or "gay" is used to describe the class/subject/text/teacher.

That feeling doesn't compare to getting terrible on an easy midterm which is supposed to be free marks.
Yep, I got a 70% on a Linear Algebra 1 midterm, didn't study at all, and I came out thinking I aced it.
