towels do start to smell bad when left wet for long periods of time. i generally keeps using the same towel until it''s time to do laundry. when it smells bad i switch though | ||

Could be water, could be soap scum, or not washing/scrubbing thoroughly enough and dirt or dead skin staying on it, or by reusing multiple times he means multiple times. I always imagined that if you come out of the shower very clean, there's not much "uncleanliness" to be absorbed by the towel aside from water and perhaps a tiny bit of leftover soap/shampoo. That and make sure you let your towel dry very well. Goes for any porous product (like dishwashing sponges). Bacteria and microorganisms multiply quickly in moist (and warm) areas. | ||

If you shower properly you are clean when you're done, so it doesn't really get dirty. I use mine 2-3 times though, because I just like the idea of having a fresh towel :p | ||
