While eating this evening, i was thinking about what does it take to become a good player.talent, motivation, conditions.
When i thought about motivation, it ac cured to me that almost all players have a small group of friends they can practice with and have fun playing.
Around six years ago i was playing UT (Unreal Tournament) and had a clan, we sucked, but the games very fun. Same thing with UT2004 two years ago, had a clan but we mostly hanged on Ventrilo and laughed, chatted on irc and so on.
I really miss those kind of stuff, especialy when watching Lz's stream when a bunch of EG nerds come together and chat away and play for fun
So i was thinking of forming a SC clan, that doesn't goal on getting A- on Iccup.
An average clan with players that rank from D- to C. The emphasis is on fun, friendly games and socializing. To enter the clan there would be only one restriction, and that is that you understand english.
lol off topic but can anybody remember that one thread where the guy made a clan as a psych/sociology experiment. it was by someone whose ID started with "sal". and he disappeared but the guys stayed together or something.

yeah i know.
i have zero such intentions. that's why i wrote i just want a fun clan with players to play with, not some "we will get a sponsor" mumbo jumbo.
don't worry about making a team until sc2 releases....then East all the way! Fuck east to, there is way many hackers unless u join korean games. Let's see how sc2 pans out, till then afk!
My vote goes to ICCUP. I think a lot of us enjoy laddering, but want some relaxing games here and there, and having the team/thingy on ICCUP allows you to bounce back and forth between laddering and newbing it up
Yes, definitely Iccup, the server quality and the launcher makes it much better and hack free, and there could be no harm in a little laddering between ourselves or some 2v2's for fun.
What's best about Iccup though is their team system, we could all make a team on their site.
I don't think I specified either, so iccup for gateway preference. I'd be down for a game or two now before Day[9]'s show. Find me on iccup, I go by FastEddie and am D/D-/E, will hang out in the D lobby.

Haha yea Salorian or some shit, I dont really remember. About a year a ago he made clan )disso(. Then he revealed it was some stupid social expirement and was banned from TL lolol. But I'm actually really grateful he did it because i met all the people i still game with today :D
actually since me and my CPL team decided to form a clan for this exact same purpose! team tag is hp. we named it hoi polloi. it means - multitude: the common people generally; "separate the warriors from the mass"; "power to the people" so basically it just means we are the masses, since we're aiming to recruit low rank players playing for fun or to get better, so we can all practice/chill together :D but tbh we wanted hp. because it could mean HUGE PENISES if noone formed a team yet, join this one! http://www.iccup.com/teams/12467.html any rank at all welcome, as long as you speak english this isnt a serious BE ACTIVE OR GET OUT clan, its just for fun, for chatting and chilling out, for practicing with each other, maybe clanwars if enough people want to
