Betting on Nony and getting 1:3, for example, is a claim that Nony will win 1/4 the time or better. If he bet that and won then you'd think "well Nony would win every now and then so Rek's money was probably safe long term from a statistical point of view". By betting 1:1 Rek bet Nony would beat Idra half the time or more. That's obviously a very bold claim and Rek put his money where his mouth was. The more extreme the odds, the bolder the claim is. | ||
