Also 160gig ssd must have cost him his left nut.
How big is an average priced ssd?
I'd say the common sold ones are 32 or 64 a 160gig would probably be upwards of 400-500 dollars even for a cheap one. the only worth while mod that i could think of off the top of my head to it would be to change it's controller and cache memory which may not be possible as it depends if it's electrically the same as the stock set up if you even have hopes of doing such a hardcore mod this also assumes it will be possible to implement the same firmware or w.e on the ssd.
