Of course, Mayhem, Emperor, Darkthrone, Immortal etc. already existed by the time the Burzum debut was released, but these were all actual bands with multiple members in their line-up and then there's this one guy that no one really knows anything about and he creates and records several Black Metal masterpieces (again, matter of opinion, but I think I'm not the only one who would call them masterpieces) all by himself. In Scandinavian countries, Saturday is called Lördag or Laurdag, the name being derived from the old word laugr/laug (hence Icelandic name Laugardagur), meaning bath, thus Lördag equates to bath-day. On the other hand theres some lack of entertainment in denmark so at least i can understand where its coming from. You should probably change your topic name though. i dont think varg disliked it in fact his thoughts on the matter were mainly formed while in prison, he did a whole lot of reading and tried to create a concept that benefits scandinavians and their cultural and "national" interests. His views on the matter did change multiple times which is normal, he was only 19 when he went to jail. He developed into a national-socialist then into a nationalist. Hes nowhere as radical as he used to be. With time comes understanding so dont make large assumptions as to whether he "likes" slavs or not. He has a spot for them in his philosophy which benefits it. But all slavs? Doubtful. Considering that he openly expressed negativism towards muslims( for instance turks) i dont see him accepting macedonians as another "aryan" race( if thats what youre trying to do) I think he will be drifting further away from whole "aryan" and "non-aryan" stratification. Its a silly debate but i am familiar with how it goes many communities are trying hard to find a way into his world model simply because his words have a completely different merit compared to whatever else is out there these days. But trying to forcefully build something artificial in only makes it less stable he definitely is still sharp and i am interested to see his new work. At the same time not expecting another explosion( who knows, who knows) | ||
