~ I found this place a while back. It's a little set of steps leading down to a basement cafe just next to Children's Grand Park in Konkuk, Seoul.

~ It basically holds two tiled walls that have been decorated by students graduating from Konkuk University and the other Uni next door to the row of shops where it's located.

~ Some of them date back a good few years and I felt pretty inspired to see all their memories left behind.

~ Obviously there were lighting issues with this set - the steps are in almost dark conditions and I didn't have a step ladder to get up to the top tiles. The location was crazy. So apologies.

I hope you enjoy them anyway.

I love thesee. I love the idea of physically leaving some part of your current reality somewhere so that you can look back on it years later. Even if it's not true anymore, you can look at it and just remember and reminisce~

Makes me wonder how many of those couples are still together hmm.

They're not protected or anything, but no one would do that here. Unlike other countries there is very little illegal graffiti and most people have respect for something like this so they wouldn't damage it. (I have to say I do miss well done graffiti, but sadly it's just not present here in most places.)

Actually I wasn't focusing on him at all when I was ninja photo taking, but the guy who is in the blurred area behind him. In that shot he just happened to wander past. I liked the composition though so I kept it.

Also Smix - that's what I was thinking too. Some of the tiles further up had photos set into them as well and it was really intriguing me as to where everyone who contributed something is now.
