I have, everytime, I bring the food with me to another room. Later on other people started to copy me so we ended up sitting in different rooms.

Btw, how is it to be a guy without a pair of balls, do you really get a high pitch voice like they claim?

i have no time to argue with kids like you, so what you are saying is that at big family reunions/dinners/parties/get togethers/name it if some person is sick you just walk out? ROfl totally defeats the purpose of the get together in the first place.

It just shows me that your 12 just by looking at your immature excuse of an insult.

And yet you are here "argueing". In my family we are respectful enough that if someone wants to avoid being sick we let them, even if we have planned something beforehand.

If she had the flu, there is no way she would have been able to sit at the dinner table at all, discounting the fact she would have no appetite. People use the word flu way too liberally.

Sounds to me like she had a cold.

And there is an incubation period from when you are exposed to when the virus replicates enough within your body to start causing symptoms. You won't start having a cold the day after you were exposed to her. If you really are sick, you got it somewhere else, earlier. Don't blame her.

All this doesn't negate the fact that I agree with you and I definitely would not want someone hacking all over my nice dinner. She was being unreasonable.

Not true, 24 hours is plenty of time for the virus to replicate en cause the symptoms.

And to add that people react differently with the flue, some people just experinces minor headaces or slight fatigue and coughing and nothing else. The symtpons are not the same or in same degree for everyone. But they are still spreading that shit just fine.

I think you're overreacting. Also, you sound like a hypochondriac.

I don't mean to be an ass, but saying she sat there "spreading the flu" during dinner just gets to me. Placing an ill person on the end of the table should be enough, you can still have dinner with her. You're extremely unreasonable.

Dont want to catch a cold, get away from other people.

In Sweden everyone gets sick around christmas time. This is because is gets so freaking cold that people decides that's its a good idea to go to one common warm spot somewhere in doors and gather around there. Now, since EVERYONE are gathered in one tight spot it becomes extremly easy to get colds and other shit from other people therefor ALLOT of people gets it.

The majority of the Swedish population thinks it is the cold that gives them the virus and not other people. My way to solve this is during november till february is to stay the fuck AWAY from crowds.

I Started this 5 years ago and I have only been sick twice since then and I spend 85% of my time OUTSIDE during the really cold periods since there won't be ANYONE around there. Compared to before when i was sick twice per year and tried to stay away from the cold by being in the most cramped warm place along with all the other people.

you are actually only partially correct.. cold DOES make you get sick because it forces your body to spend energy on heating itself which leads to immune defense decreasing which leads to the bacteria that are _ever present_ in your body making you sick.

you're correct about viruses specifically, but enough cold is going to make you sick even if you have no contact with anyone whatsoever.

As a medical student this made no sense to me, could you explain this please.

Yes, this is called Hypothermia, which is nothing close to what I described or what everyone else tries to bullshitt people into believing.

Yeah, what manners. If I were sick, I'd stay away from everyone so that they don't suffer because of me. Also, going around when you're sick doesn't exactly help your healing.

I understand it's a family holiday, but it's still wrong. Just stay home and heal, there's plenty of interesting things on tv or something; and you won't die for being away.
