It was starting to go down hill since around 1996 but it didn't get real bad till around 2000. It's even worse now, talentless rappers out there rapping about bullshit and using auto tune wherever possible. At least Metal is going strong, I need a main source of music ![]() Fixed How many posts you think you got where you quote someone, bold a word that you changed, then say "fixed?"

Your long diatribes in the hip hop song thread make it painfully obvious. Ok you didn't lie, but you did imply that someone else carries all of those arguments.

But this is not new at all. My favorite album of all time, Endtroducing, had a skit on it called 'Why Hip Hop Sucks in '96'. Do you think '96 was a bad year for hip hop? I mean, just look at all the great albums that were released that year. Mainstream hip hop has apparently been dead since the dawn of the genre. Yeah sure, it has some rotten apples, but there probably isn't one single genre that does not have any bad artists at all. And please don't tell me you actually think that Immortal Technique or backpacker endorsed underground supergroup Jedi Mind Tricks are actually any better than Lupe Fiasco or Jay-Z because that would just make me sad.
