I have play on most days, really. I've just not been overly active lately, but I'll make sure to return from my hiatus.
Seeing as how I'm now on holiday leave, I can practice anytime of the day the next few weeks.

updated the layout a bit thanks to our new coach quirinus.cry (he's a real go getter !!)
also we will probably set up some fixed training session around 20:00 every Monday and Wednesday, if most of you cant make it at that time we will shift it about.
Sarens is still MIA, so it looks like we will be getting a new coach soon.

We managed to get something going yesterday, Tuke and Nikon were online when I decided to come so they played a few games and we commented about their play. :D

Today when I got online, Tuke, Nikon, beamerkun and Xypski were there so I obsed you playing a bit. Belano is still missing in action. I didn't get the chance to see Pholon, hope to catch him online, long live the Liquipedia crew! :D
Anyway, it was fun today. Go team!
Here's the conclusion:
- Didn't have the chance to talk to or see Xypski play, he had to go, but we'll fix that next time. Need them tosses in the team.
- I'm happy with Tuke's play, just try to macro hard. We'll work on it some more later, in my opinion we could get you to an ok C- rank in no time. :D I'll have to see your other matchups though.
- Nikon, try to spend your money. Mutas -> 3-4 turrets on the main and exp, 1-2 turrets near rax exit/ramp. Keep marines near turrets, no need to be heroic and chase the mutas - a heroic marine is a dead marine. Get like 3 medics vs mutas, 2 is not enough. Try not to delay tech/macro because you're harrased. Try to keep an eye for lurkers, if you see the den, hydras or lurks, you should have 2-3 bunkers on your exp.
- beamerkun you need to put that sunken up! If you went 2 hat gas, when the third hatch is started -> sunken. put down a hydra den as soon as you get 50 gas, and make about 3 hydra *immediately* when the den is finished. Otherwise you'll regret it later. :D You don't want too much hydras at the start, just to defend vs 2 port wraith or vults, the rest goes to drones. (unless it's 1 base mech push - 1 tank 4-5 vults 4-5 scvs, then you need all hydra)
You can even make more than 3 hydras if it feels safer that way, but just remember to make drones, and expand vs mech early on, then later produce units, since mech usually doesn't attack early. If you can, delay his second. Need to put down hatches when you get extra money! Check out the pictures below to see how to wall on desti.
Walling on desti vs vults
If you expect just 1 vult:
They'll usually go around the minerals, route 1. But if you have low drones on the exp, they can go 2. If it's just 1 vult it'll die. A good trick for terrans is to send an scv first to soak up the first hit, so the vult can pass.
If you're afraid of speedvult runby (3-4 or more vults), this is much better:
Here it's important that you block the passage with drones, like the drones in the bottom blue circle. The big blue circle is usually filled with some drones, so prevents that passage, but if you move too many, it can be open again. Keep an eye for that, and move the rest of the drones there.
You should have at least 3 hydra by then, try to keep vults from passing untill the hydras are there. But even if 1-2 vults somehow make it past that, the hydras&drones will kill them. (watch out for mines)
This wall also covers the mineral line vs 1 vult. You can also put it 1 square below if you want.

also guys take not, after we get a 3rd coach (il most likely try to find a protoss) we will split the team into 3 groups, i will handle the terrans, quirinus the zergs, and the 3rd coach the protosses, im doing this because i feel we can be more efficient this way because i dont really know all that much about non T matchups and dont wanna give flawed info to anyone, of course you will be able to ask for help from all the other coaches and general info, we will all still hang out, play and learn together, just when you will have some general BO question or matchup problem i will recommend that you go to your race coach if hes available.

Ah, cool.
Your autoreplay isn't working? Try this, it might work:
Fix: open your iCCup launcher, deactivate chaosplugin, close your launcher, restart it, activate the plugin again, restart it, and it'll work. (thanks to RaGe)
Also, you can see only the first 250 autoreplays when inside starcraft, even if more are saved. Just copy the all but the latest to some other folder and you'll see the new/last ones.

Evaluation Match:
January 2nd - Saturday
8:00 PM (CET) / 2:00 PM (EST)
Ok, everyone practice their matchup from now on, and preferably on the designated map. The ace player should also practice HBR (I assume it's the new version - Neo Heartbreak Ridge, with those extra passages.)
Watch a few VODs of progamers on those maps and with those matchups. Also download some replays from the GG.net replay database.
Make sure to be aware of your map unique features, as well as the map layout. Be aware of any special and usual rushes/cheeses on your map, and how to scout/avoid them (or use them). See what style is best on this map, but if you feel uncomfortable playing it (there's a good chance for this, since you're all D ranks), just play like you know. Try to understand the general flow of the game from those VODs and replays.
You can use rush/cheese if you feel like it's your best chance to win, or the map is good for that. Otherwise, I'd suggest a straight up game with a little bit of clever moves here and there.
Think of an opening you want to use (practice it over and over till perfection, and then some more), and then think of all the openings your opponent can do. Try to see how would you adapt to them, ie.:
TvP, you went Siege Expand, your opponent takes early first and second expansion - you can push or expand yourself.
If he goes 2 gate, he could be going for early pressure (powergoon), bulldog, make sure you don't go out until you you have at least 3 tanks, make 2 turrets at your exp if you're suspecting bulldog; midgame - scout when he gets his 3rd (it'll be a bit later because he spent more on goons) - since he's using an aggressive build, just try to expand yourself, avoid attacking (if you attack, do so carefully), because he'll have a big army.
Liquipedia is your friend.
Here's the current info on Team 9 players:
Check your opponent, but don't be too focused on them - at D ranks, you are your worst "enemy".
Also, check your stats on those maps.

Well I see that you need a protoss player and i would gladly fill the spot. I was lurking through the blog section and casually found this topic. Anyway im more known with the nickname kasda.cry...yes im in the same clan as quirinus but he didnt mention to me anything (You shall see your mother quir!!!). Im a D+ rank, very noob and i think that this will be a great motivator for me to play more. Waiting for the answer

Well, I don't see you on msn much, and when you're online (dunno how often that is) you're on some smurfs so I didn't get the chance. wakka.cry is also a good candidate for CPL. Anyway, I didn't want to seem like I favor my teammates over other people, so that's another reason.
You already have a clan (and clan wars, like today: be there!!!) so it might be easier for you to improve, but I like it that you say it will be a good motivator. Anyway, to be fair to others and give them a chance, I have to leave the topic open for a while, and also, I need to discuss it with besiger first. (he's afk on msn now)

firstly I'd like to apologise for any inconvinience my absence may have caused in terms of organizing the games.This has been due to me partially having had computer issues as well as me being away from home as of late. Secondly, I'd like to resign from what little responsability I have towards the team, as I simply do not have it in me to fufill these in a suiting manner.
I'd like to thank you all for the time, however little, we've spend togther. Also I'd like to say that the effort put into this by the coaches, especially quirinus, far surpasses anything I'd phatomed in the beginning of this project, as well as that I'd ever expect to encounter on an internet forum.
