Check this out! I'm so stoked about the (awful, not great quality) recordings, but you can hear the concept and the arrangements... what do you think?? Just so you know, I'm the cello player, I am absent on Heart in a Cage and I'm Yours Somewhere over the Wonderful World
EDIT: Actually now that I think about it the only one that I'm in the recording for is I'm No Good... those rotten bastards recorded all this without me! How awful, lol. But if you click on the videos tab you can see our live shows which I'm in.
ENJOY AND COMMENT!

Dance Me to the End of Love is great!! I am really surprised at how well the two singers mesh... Totally love it, really dark and melodic. Do you have a higher quality version recorded anywhere?
|
I likie.
Any influences your willing to share?
|
influences: Nickel Creek, The Greencards, The Punch Brothers, Gillian Welch, Patty Griffin, The Civil Wars, and all other good music. punch brothers are the most incredible.
meeple: We don't yet but we plan on it!!
|
This is really good stuff. I wish Nickel Creek was still making music together.

wow I like the song "Dance Me to the End of Love" !!! This is bluegrass/folk? I don't listen to this genre AT ALL yet I enjoy this particular song. the woman's voice is great and just like what meeple said their voices mesh :D. keep it up!!
edit: also the Im Yours + Somewhere Over the Rainbow song!!!
btw constitutes bluegrass/folk? liike is it a sound or is it the instruments they use? yeahhh i dont know that much about music soo yeah... lol

not bad, the male singer is really surprisingly good. the such great heights cover sounds a lot like the iron & wine cover....which really isn't a bad thing
