In January I'm going to start playing quite a bit of BW again but my Razer Krait has been dying this past month. It's my third (maybe fourth) Krait and I'm not going to get a another -- they just don't last long enough under my usage. So I've been looking around for a new mouse to win TSL with and I think I've found the one...

I'll be riding to victory on American Muscle. Includes an on/off switch for the LED headlights.

...
(I'll actually be getting a Logitech Optical USB Mouse)

Salmosa are pretty damn good. Even comfortable with my hands and I'm not a small person.

I can also recommend the salmosa, it has a similar feel to logitech mini optical but its far more easily maneuvered and feels much much comfortable.

Mini Opticals have horrible sensors, I think they're just so widely used because top players use them, the shape is appropriate for smaller hands, and SC being played at 640x480 means you don't really notice the shit sensor as much as you might.

For example (an image I made when I first got my mini optical comparing with my MS IE 3.0, FWIW I have 2 seperate mini opticals and they are exactly the same in this respect).

High mouse prediction/angle snapping and horrible sensor in general. This was with the mouse @ 500Hz refresh rate, but it was pretty much the same if not a little worse at 125Hz.

I'm using a Steel Kinzu at the moment, and while it's not perfect, the shape and texture/coating of the mouse is amazing, and the sensor is FAR better than a mini optical. One day I'll learn how to make a frakenmouse and chuck a 3.0 sensor in a Kinzu shell. Anyway, just my $0.02.

My right click on my G5 only works about 80% of the time and takes more force than it used to to push down. Only after a year pretty sad about it.

I am currently using MX518 and I really like it. I used to have Razer Copperhead but right mouse button broke. It was also excellent mouse.

I've been using the same logitech optical for the past 7 years. Low DPI but damnit, it still works just as good as the day I bought it.

I could also use an upgrade too, though

DeathAdder represent! I've had mine for like... A year and a half. It works just as good as the day I opened it out of the box.

As stafu said, mini optical sensors are horrible, I bought one because it was the mouse of the progamer, and it was a big disapointement. I like the fact that this mouse is small and light but the sensor spoil everything.
My score at reflex on missionred.com are a lot worse with my minioptical compared to my logitech G5.
Jaedong could be even better with a better mouse.

Isn't it kind of large for finger-tip grip usage? I saw one in the store today and it really is a lot bigger than the LMO and salmosa, it's bigger than the deathadder even.

it's a little bit wider than the krait but it feels good. i like it. it is meant for a fingertip style grip and that's what i've always used. but this laptop im playing on lags when playing bw rofl, so im still really uncomfortable while playing, cuz the mouse movements are inaccurate due to pc lag. so i'll have to wait until im back on my own pc in mid january until i can really feel out this mouse.

If you're hands are big just get a G500 it's bigger then a mx518 with same shape. Also has a loads of features and a better lazer lol well mx518 is optical. Anyways fictionless scroll wheel is fucking awesome out side of games and in a game just flip a switch and its a click wheel.
