So my 1000th post was commenting on something DH wrote. Although I liked his piece I can't say it was a good use of my 1000th, so here's my redeemer. I'm going to talk about my history with TL.
When I first started reading TL I was just a StarCraft enthusiast. Barely playing, just stumbled upon vods. My first VOD was BoxeR vs. Blackman. It was cool.
I soon found myself watching JulyZerg and iloveoov, and searching for more details on them led me to TeamLiquid. At first I thought I'd be funny by posting crappy blogs and bad trolly posts, but that stopped when I learned to respect several things. Those things are the TL Community, the Automated Ban List, and Manifesto7 himself.
I accidentally clicked "Closed Threads" one day and finding myself face to face with the Ban List. That, honestly, scared the shit out of me and to this day still does. I remember thinking "I have to straighten up my act, be useful, or at least nice." I also remember thinking the forum moderators were complete hardasses, although I no longer feel that way.
So I straightened up my act. Stopped posting (for the most part) like a total dumbass. Started being nice. Started offering tech help to those who I could. Befriended a couple people on livestream.
And here I am 1000 posts later. Hope the next 1000 are just as fun. Thanks TL, for making me respect the rules.

I was indeed. Thank you, and I will! Progamer portraits maybe coming soon?

4 more posts =p
Nah. It would be total douchebaggery to hijack El.Divino's thread . I also was under the false impression that you turned into a lurker by 1000. I guess we still have to wait for lurker aspect to finish, and I don't think it'll be done any time soon.
