Just wanted to comment on this because I used to think the same thing. Never compare your life to what you see in TV, movies, anime, books you read etc (even peoples blogs). If you do you will never be happy with your life because you're striving for something fake and imaginary. It's okay to be entertained by those things, but keep your life and fictional art separate.

Really though, clinging to wanting to be in some group or area where you're not and not acting on it is giving you heartache. That inner conflict inside of you is preventing you from just being free and alive. You CAN make your life whatever you want it to be. Become artful ! How can you make your life as romantic as you see it on the animes? :D Become aware and Get better! I pmed you my msn if you want to chat.

dont you worry about uni man. there are way more people in there than school, and there are bound to be people compatible with you. the laws of probability can tell you that. its all about finding hope thatll give you some enthusiasm. you talk about feeling a little empty because you never had to pay for anything. well... get a job! so what if you dont NEED the money. you will feel much better about yourself that youre working FOR yourself (although for a boss as well haha). my job when i was in year 12 really helped take the focus away from all the negatives, as well as helping to really build my self esteem. its not really about the money, and so if you dont know what else to do... give it a shot! (btw im not talking about a call centre type thing or what not, go for a retail job or something where you talk to customers a lot)

Gotta put yourself out there man. If you recognize you NEED companionship beyond surface stuff you have to work towards it.. cannot sit around and hope it comes to you.

Im an athiest and for good reasons. I can kinda see how god would be comforting right now, but that is a REALLY bad reason as it does not make it any more truthful and would be just sinking further into a lie.

live for your passions - pick up that instrument you always wanted to do, or take a class outside of your comfort zone; or do something ridiculous - go skydiving because you've earned the money or shoot a bear in the fucking face because you can starting out without having done anything fucking amazing you probably can't instantly achieve the level of awesomeness most people would DREAM of like being able to piss off the top of mount everest, but you CAN start out with some minor achievements and build on those like going out and exploring the city you're living in and finding interesting places to hang out and do stuff at then you come back to your friends or meet new ones and you can go and hang out in all of the awesome places you've found
