also silence of the lambs is good, isn't really scary though just a really interesting watch especially because of the antagonist, but it is kind of gory | ||

I was so overhyped for Paranormal Activity, there were was maybe like 1 or 2 good scenes in it, but the rest was pretty meh. I would also recommend The Tale of Two Sisters, a Korean horror film that came out maybe like 5 or so years ago? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0365376/ ^ Really beautiful film and I thought it was pretty damn scary. | ||

Yeah same here. I got sucked into the hype and at the end, I thought it was okay. The trailer gave away all the good parts and the movie wasn't really scary, but more creepy since some scenes made my spine crawl. But I'm still impress how good the "special effects" were and how these amateur actors are better than Hollywood's. | ||

Like people said, most Japanese ones are pretty nice, they have plenty that are subbed out there on like MySoju or Silent Regrets. Korean ones are nice too but I think Japanese ones are usually more original and intense. | ||

I'm about halfway through. There is a common cultural mythology difference that takes me out of it a little bit, but even then...this movie is worth the time. | ||
