Anyone know what you can do with account numbers and a routing number?

A routing number is an RTN (routing transit number) right? I think this number only shows which financial institution (bank) that you open your account at. Other than that I'm quite sure they can't do shit with it neither. I got myself into a quite similar situation when my friend wrote down my cellphone number on a piece of paper and posted it on my school's bulletin board: "Cheap hooker from our very own school. Call: xxx-xxxx-xxx" I had to change my number afterward, as well as kick him in the balls, twice. | ||
