Yeah you did i also expected it. I'm too invested in the series i keep watching it even though i don't really like it SGU that is i have all the dvd's of SG-1 and all the recording of Atlantis from my tivo although i didn't like Atlantis as much as sg-1 for the same elements in Universe U just takes the whole drama and crap to a "whole...nother ...evel" atleast the cheezy and "suspence" driven kind of camera work isn't as prevalent anymore.

Also congrats to them for not making a in the dark softcore porn scene in there this episode!

I mean how smart is it for the Civilians to try and take over the ship from the Soldiers who managed to save the Destiny in ep. 11, they attack again and the Aliens manage to board(due to the fact that they are shown coming through the Stargate in the 2nd half preview), Soldiers manage to save them and hopefully Camile Wray is killed off in the process.

YES the new episode was great, so much better

I've only seen the first few eps of this season and honestly I was underwhelmed. I'll probably catch up at some point just because it's Stargate, and that preview looked great. I hope it improves.

I am guessing TJ being pregnant will be the sub plot of having Chloe finding her niche as part of the crew, assistant nurse or something.

TJ will likely be injured and lose the baby. But I hope I'm wrong.

I really think the first alien encounter (i mean except those bugs and the kinda alive water thingy) are a huge improvement.

I watched the first part of SG U with disapointement as i like SG1 (though my nickname does NOT come from it , even though it could seem like it)

Anyways, personnal note aside, it was not in the same spirit as SG1 or SGA. But i still watched the second part of the season and so far i like it

Though i wish SyFy had gone for a new season of the Dreseen Files than for SGU in the first place

I'm a huge fan of all the Stargate shows and movies (and especially the original movie). SGU is baller, though it raises some other questions like "They have the map of the path of Destiny, so they KNOW where the seedships & Destiny were, and they can communicate with home...why aren't Earth forces looking in those other Galaxies for Alteran descendents to try to rescue those on Destiny?"

. I love SGU so much more than SGA (which wasn't very good, IMO). SG-1 was awesome, and I think they could have kept going with it. Atlantis needed to end...it was going nowhere fast.

Anyway, I like all of the characters so far (with the exception of some of the ones they killed off a while back). Camile is important too. There's only a few Civilians who can actually lead (Rush and Camile) and Rush is nuts. Eli isn't fit to lead, he's good in his middle-management position. Chloe is 97% useless right now, but I can see her filling her most likely new role+ Show Spoiler +

well enough, and possibly becoming Civilian leader later what with her dad being a senator or whatever.
