ME vs TEAM LIQUID MEMBERS Internet Chess Match
Official Game Thread:
http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=103784
This post is only to clarify the rules of our Chess Match, as well as give a chance to sign-up for anyone who might have missed previous thread:
http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?topic_id=103622
1) RULES:
> I'm playing with white pieces. > You have 24 hours to vote for each of your moves. > I'll update my move 24 hours after voting closes. > You are voting by posting in this thread "I vote... /move/". > Please use Long Algebraic notation to avoid confusion. > Voting always closes at midnight (0.00 GMT, 9.00 AM KST). > I'll count the votes immediately after deadline. > Members who'll be late WON'T be taken in account. > After counting votes, I'll publish info, as follows: - Voting results. - Current position. - Last move played. - Updated list of moves. - Exact time of next deadline. > No chess engines or outside help, please.
2) ADDITIONAL INFO:
> Rules above were fixed, mainly to speed up the event. > If you still think something is wrong with rules, PM me. > "Game Thread" will be posted on my next blog entry. > You are free to discuss your moves, but please don't use the official thread for this, otherwise I may accidentally "maphack" your plans. Use PM's or some free forum to keep your discussion safe. > ToN wisely suggested to post "Game Thread" in Sports & Games section. I'll do as he said.

now this... great idea. someone make a turn based board game from a real-time game engine.
|
How about a one on one match with you, or anyone else? Time control - max 5 mins. for a game on a playchess server. Go?

Is there a limit on rating? Im a 2251 CM, if thats allowed, id love to join in.
For 1.e4 I vote we opt for a classical caro-kann, I have quite a few neat tricks in all the major variations and would feel very confident in using that. Alternatively, if we do really want something action packed, I do have blitz notes on the sicilian dragon (classical, yugoslav and variants).
For 1.d4 I would like to play a queen's indian or nimzo-indian (yes, im a boring guy obviously). Ive been coached by GM Larry Christiansen and GM Joel Benjamin in both, just because the structures are a lot of fun. Again, for the...blood inclined, we could go with a semi-slav. Ive studied up bigtime on the variations favored by both GM Anand and GM Kramnik.
anyway, hope im not too late.

You are welcome! But, this is voting chess, so not always your suggestions will be played (unless, of course, you can convince your teammates to play what you like to).

Oh btw, we might just use someone's blog for discussion, would be way easier than constantly pming everyone.
