The old card failed and is in the mail somewhere to get RMA'ed. I figured I might as well do the upgrade I was thinking about. I did try taking everything out and putting it in again. The mobo powers on and everything, I just don't get beep codes or post. (or anything on the screen for that matter). The one thing that makes me think its not the video card is that my CPU heatsink is custom and the BIOS doesn't like the fan speed (even though it works fine), so every time I booted up before I would get the beep code for CPU fan error. Since I'm not getting that beepcode I'm thinking its the mobo and and not the video card (which is brand new and worked last night after burning in). I'll get one my friends old boxes and see if my card works in it/my computer boots with another card. That won't be till this afternoon though. Any other ideas until then?

also try resetting the bios if it is a hardware fault i'd guess it is the motherboard or the PSU.

What happened to the old card? Maybe the motherboard burned both the new and old one... in that case I don't know if it's wise to test it with your friends graphic card. No beep sound happened to me before, but I can't remember why - I'm not much around computers nowadays. I think it was something stupid like ram, but for some reason, it decided to not beep at all instead of beeping for ram. I don't remember what happens when there are multiple things to make it beep? Maybe the fan beep made it not beep when something else popped up requiring a beep. Other things are try plugging/unplugging all cables, try shaking things around, but I assume you already did that. If nothing works, stomp the damned thing! :D I'm joking. Pull out the motherboard (or not, but it's easier if you do) and look for burned chips and things on a good light. Starting around the graphic card slot. EDIT: yeah, you can reset the bios, remove the battery. No harm, since you can't run the comp anyway. (just dunno how the fan would behave then) If you have 2 ram sticks, try putting one, then the other separately.
