I don't want to bring up specific names but I really dislike the sycophantic shit you see in the 2x2 channel; there's 3-4 players and most people suck up to them super hardcore. And many of them are very bad individually; Lee is particularly bad. I thought he was a T player the first time I played him, then someone told me he's Z; whatever his "main" is I've beaten him playing all 3 races and he was honestly extremely bad at all three races. The problem with most 2v2 players if that they are early game/timing/build order pros but they really lack the midgame/late game skills necessary to rise to the next "level" of 2v2. For example, most T's in TZ vs PZ avoid the 5 hotkey SK terran stage of the game like the plague and become very very bad if the game does reach that stage. I myself enjoy the challenge and I like controlling MM a lot so many of my strategies revolve around getting to midgame and simply overpowering the P with superior overall play, which is why I like to expand instead of bunkering/timing pushing/whatever vs PZ. Right now though I'm sucking extremely badly at that.

And of course the top Hunters players > the top 2v2 players, but that's for hunters and really most 2:2 iccup players can't play hunts worth even mentioning, it's similar but different enough for there to be a different kind of experience required. But the top Asian hunters players also tend to be extremely good 1v1 players as well or at least previously experienced so I don't know if it's too good to compare the two since clearly the Asia players will be better in every single aspect of the game. Many of the guys in the CKBTV tournament are semipros or pros.

Totally agree.

I hate having to go through a huge interview to get a partner.
"Race?"
"AKA?"
"From?"
"Best rank?"
"Color of car?"
"Favorite food?"
"Virgin?"
"Republican?"
etc etc

People always asks my rank, and when I state, honestly, I have reached C+ they usually go back to their "gosu ally msg" spam routine.
Some will decide to give it a try. If we win they play again; if we lose Im the one to blame (always, even when it is not my fault, it is my fault), and the routine starts again: "gosu ally msg".

Now, EVERYONE I allied claimed to be B- or higher.
I figured that the trick to find out the real rank is to go down a letter. Someone claiming to be B- is a C-, someone who is C+ is actually D+, etc.

Thank God, I still have some friends who still play the game seldom and will ally me regardless if I am better or worse player.

well its like i feel guilty because ive done a similiar thing once ive ranked up higher. but at D its like why do i need a B+ ally unless im terrible? i feel confident to rank up with a decebad ally haha.

yea idk what lees "main" is but i just know he just trys to emulate cute low eco 2:2 and sucks huge nuts in late game. get.shauni is kinda good at 2:2 just for the fact that if it gets to late game the other team cant keep up mechanically and i believe any tier 2+ foreigner in 1:1 could easily become a top top 2:2 player if they cared enough
