However, admist the praise and glorification for Cirno thus far, there is yet another individual that I would like to acknowledge. His name is Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" Cojuangco Aquino III. Why is he so significant? Just today, (09/09/09 in the Philippines), he announced his candidacy for the presidency. Thus all Cirno fans world wide must extend our best wishes to him, as he is undoubtedly the strongest of all the candidates.
But, you may ask, how did Cirno achieve this feat? Why is today HER day? The answer of course lies within the game Phantasmagoria of Flower View. Here is a picture from the manual:
Now if you cannot read Japanese, that is fine, but take note of number 9. The two characters there are バカ or in romanization, "baka". In Japanese, this means fool. Thus began her immortality. Her line, "I am the strongest!", also comes from the same game.
Although some may try to slander our Savior and Queen, they are severely mistaken, and will soon come to know her wrath and fury. As "evidence", they have provided this clip of her most dangerous spell card, Icicle Fall -Easy-.
Obviously these videos do not demonstrate her true power. Allow me to show you her true fury.
Cirno goes on a walk with two inconsequential people, and while walking, she discovers that the cherry blossoms are starting to bloom. Therefore, this is an indication that spring is coming. If Spring comes, then her mother figure, Letty Whiterock, will disappear (She's the Goddess of Winter basically). Therefore, she wants to give her a cherry blossom in full bloom (which she normally can't see), so she severs a branch and brings it to two different people to try and get them to make the cherry blossom bloom. She succeeds on her second attempt and brings the branch to Letty, who embraces her right when she disappears.
Thus you can see the obviously gentler side of Cirno. We must also consider her fun loving side, which we have all come to adore.
Thus, we must now appreciate Cirno in all her glory, for this is her day. How can you appreciate Cirno you might ask? Do anything Cirno, 9, or blue related. That is all that she commands. However, I do have some Cirno approved products (identified by the Cirn⑨ logo) for you to use on this glorious day.
To celebrate, you can download the free demo of the relevant Touhou games from ZUN's (Touhou creator's) site. Demo contains the first 3 levels of the game, which is normally 6 levels + 1 or 2 bonus levels.
Controls: Arrow keys - move Z - shoot (generally want to hold down all the time if you are new) X - bomb (screen-clear, limited supply) shift - focus (movement slows and shot becomes narrow)

Slow classical touhou piece? That goes against the grain of touhou!
TAmusic is your best bet for Touhou Classical, or at that, anything Classical.
Southlight, think it'll stay there tomorrow too? I think it might (finally) slip off #1 tomorrow, maybe :p That artist is one of my favorite ones though.

First youtube is tamusic, found in one of the Touhou Violin albums, unfortunately since that's like the one piece that sees a billion remixes I don't remember which one it came from.
Phantom Ensemble has a lot of excellent remixes everywhere, just search the heck out of it. (At that, just nico it with the tag and listen to everything).
Fall of Fall is good, though I personally find the original to be much better than the majority of the remixes out there.

Check out the first 5 videos on the playlist, orchestra style arrangements. They came from this arrangement video on nicovideo. [ http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/1248647181 ] I recommend watching it on nicovideo, the sound quality is far-far better then it is on youtube.

No, I was celebrating cirno day with my friends at school and at facebook. It was also the first day of school and all my ap classes loaded me with homework. Satori's theme is one of my fave themes in touhou. I recently learned how to play it on the piano :D.
PS: I went into a lol fest when my friend said in calculus class that number 9 was really confusing :D
anyone else find random stage themes to be just amazing pieces that go underappreciated compared to popular boss themes? the extra, and phantasm, stage themes in eosd, pcb, and IN all have beautiful melodies. i actually like pcb stage 3 theme better than alice's. my favorite is pcb stage 4 theme, it's a majestic experience to turn off all the lights and play one of tamusic's versions for this song while i recline, close my eyes, and just listen.
gotta do that to really enjoy this song! you'll love this if you liked pcb stage 4 theme, and if you didn't, well then this just might change your mind!

Mystlord, there is a TH12 thread at Sports/Games, I suggest you asking a mod whether it can be hijack'd for all Touhou stuff. Or just merge it into the anime thread, this is right up there anyway :p
