Its my laptop, and im operating on the wireless network that the apartment complex provides. Although I even took it onto campus and it isn't working with the campus wireless network either. I also did a system restore and didn't do anything =(

hmm....and it doesn't sound like its a hardware thing either. imo, this doesn't sound like an easy fix; i think you either got a virus or someone messed with your system. Can you connect to your router (if you know the password) at least?

Yeah look into open DNS. A DNS is a Domain Name Service: it takes your url strings and turns them into IP addresses. Open DNS offers the same kind of service as your Cable or DSL provider but with some better options including making custom domain pointers (like "TL" pointing to team liquid or something like that) as well as preventing your cookies from being sent to third parties (no ads on FB)
look into it!

Check to see if your laptop has wireless internet turned on. This happened to me once and I sent it in and the people told me it was just that the wireless internet was disaibled T_T

I had this exact problem and Open DNS fixed it for me
