Hopefully Korea. They've yet to win an international event this year (granted for premiers it's only a sample size of 3 so far but if you include the pigstys and afreeca champions cup that changes to 6 and is still 0 for KR) and it will be sad if the world vs Korea rivalry has tilted so hard towards the world.

Europe definetly goes in as the favorites. For Korea it feels like it mostly depends on Solar and on what form Dark shows up. I kinda doubt we will get a winner from Asia or Americas, but who knows

Depending on which Maru will show up, the guys who just want to "get it over with" doing 2-base all-in and get countered, or the one who actually want to play it out in the macro game. I would favor him against everyone but Serral if he feel like it. Gumiho actually got a highest seed from KR and can be a good Dark horse. I dont see anyone but Serral can win from the EU side, so the question become who can beat Serral in a Bo5/7.

The Serral region.

I may appear to be an emotionless sarcastic pos, but just like an onion when you pull off more and more layers you find the exact same thing everytime and you start crying

Probably Europe, it became the most dynamic SC2 region nowadays.
Serral is favourite.
Reynor can win against each and all Korean, when he's really into it.
Clem is on the same level with nearly all Koreans, except for maybe Maru (the championship type of him).
Maxpax could be surprise winner, if he finally takes part in offline event.
So 3 (4) trump cards for Europe.

This all day. I don't think anyone's going to give Solar any real problems for ZvP or ZvT unless Maru comes back to form and mindgames his teammate really badly. As long as Solar's ZvZ is still at it's fearsome level, he can take out Serral and Reynor and finally give Korea a win.

Imagine you would travel back in time and tell someone from 2015 that Koreas chances of winning an international event soley rest on the ZvZ of one player. That's like an instant ticket to Arkham...

I'm going to go with Europe for this one due to Serral being a big favorite.

Macro game against top zergs is suicide. All the terrans have better chances at all-ins in this matchup.

Man, I hate that people are so easily swayed by recent results to even consider this. EU vs Korea is exactly the same as it's always been for the past few years. There are a few Europeans who can hang with the best koreans, but the majority of the Korean pros are at a higher level than eu. Maru's lack of results recently were due to him being sick. He is slowly recovering, and recently beat Serral in a late game macro TvZ. The Korean scene is not ending. Everything is fine. Calm down.

Remember that we all come from a place of passion!!

Well, obviously there is just a very narrow margin between being a believer and being stubborn and ignorant...

I don't think that Solar's ZvT and ZvP are anywhere near the level where he is the clear favorite against anyone except Maru.

Clem, Cure, MaxPax, herO, ByuN, and many others can and routinely do pose very real problems for him. Of course Solar can beat all of them, but he also frequently loses, sometimes in a rather underwhelming fashion. His ZvT and ZvP, while good, are not comparable to Serral's.

The overall favorite of course is EU, because of Serral. If he happens to drop out, I think the chances are pretty much even between EU and Korea.
Mutation complete.

Korean will win they are overall usually better at offline events and Zerg's dont get the ping advantage which they benefit from so much from online events ( they don't need to rely on micro as much, as Terran and Protoss )

No it isnt even. Without Serral it is KR favorite, as I have no trust in Reynor getting back in top form until IEM. So it means Clem vs 4-5 top Terran in KR, and against Dark, Solar and herO.
