Reynor and Serral allready are on the same level of Rogue, soo and Solar and as close as it gets to Dark.
Give Clem some more time and he ll get to the same level as top KR T as well

He allready beaten most KR players, he just has to get his nerves sorted, to actually do it in the important matches as well. In terms of raw SC2 skill, he s allready on top level.

come on guys, we all know that any imbalance in pvz is addressed by the fact that every zerg player is just better than every protoss player. plus protosses all around the world are slumping at the same time

Neither of those races are terran, so who really cares? Terran is so far ahead of the other races

I think Serral is the strongest player, but I think Terran as a whole is pretty good right now. I think zerg's reliance on the baneling really prevents them from getting my vote.

Zerg. I will admit Terran is good right now and might even be slightly favored in both matchups but ZvP is so broken that Zerg is still the best race. Basically I see it like this (exact numbers not important) TvZ favors T 52-48, TvP favors T 55-45. However ZvP favors Zerg 60-40+. This will give Z the highest overall winrate even if they aren't favored in ZvT.

Additionally I'm curious what ZvT would look like if Rogue didn't quit playing the game every time he wins a $100k+ event. Sadly with the amount of top Z players in Korea even one player taking a break make a huge difference.

I'm gonna feel dirty for saying this, but I feel like protoss could use a buff. It's been a really long time since protoss has had a heavyweight favorite to win tournaments in KR/EU (Stats is the last one I can think of from 2 years ago). Sure, you have players like Zest, Trap, and Showtime, who always have a good shot at a deep run. But none of them are seen in the same light in their respective regions as players like Maru, INno, Dark, Rogue, Serral, and Reynor. The only exception to this is Neeb in NA, but NA isn't exactly the pinnacle of the competitive scene right now.

As a fan of Protoss I agree with you. The Protoss OP meme has been taken way too seriously. While we do have some promising talent and NA region looks like it has plenty to offer for our race it’s (Astrea looks very promising and Neeb is still Neeb) been a while since we’ve had a flag bearer for the race. It obviously didn’t help that probably the most creative Protoss in the scene recently had to leave for the military in Classic. Stats is still good but too standard, and PartinG is, well, PartinG. Good GSL form but I haven’t seen anything to convince me that he’s capable of hitting his old form and competing with the top Zergs and Terrans yet. The EU Protoss have not made a big splash for quite a while now: Then again this might have something to do with how broken PvZ looks when the Zerg knows what they’re doing. I honestly don’t remember the last time I truly felt a Protoss could win a big tournament, and it’s kind of sad that my favorite race is in that state. Hopefully there will be a resurgence and it won’t just be Terran and/or Zerg every single finals this year.

You could see it in the GSL group nominations. Besides some odd picks, every Terran picks a Zerg because T>Z and then the Zergs proceed to pick Protoss because Z>P. Protoss struggle to even qualify for the tournament. Now obviously the balance isn't totally out of whack, but small balance issues have huge effects. I honestly feel like PartinG is the best player right now, but that will never be reflected in the results. I gotta admit though that he still chokes and that's probably a bigger reason for his shortcomings so far.
