I feel like Protoss has been in a reasonably okay spot that entire time, but maybe I'm wrong.

As an example, Protoss has somehow won 4 out of the 6 Super Tournaments of LotV. Also, Protoss has made the finals of a GSL season 9 out of the 11 times in LotV. Strange. Just bad luck then.

So I feel somehow protoss is the underdogs here balance wise, going from there I can't help but fall back on my old GSL style tournament favores terran and weekend style tournaments favores zerg argument. In these Groups we will get to Watch a ton of starcraft 2, a feast for us but also a real party for any none terran players that gets to meet a terran player in RO12 and forward. Because terrans build orders are usually hard to vary up too much while also being more easy to counter than zerg or protoss builds. Terrans are sure to show their hands in the Groups and for the same builds to keep working throughout the RO12 and forward means we need to see the Innovation of old. You know what he is going to do but you can't stop him, I just don't Think we will see that this time. Last Katowice was a miracle, this katawice is zergs as most weekenders are.

When you play against Zerg it feels like your counting on them to make mistakes. Once people like Serral and Dark get in there, they make mistakes at such a low rate that my heart aches for every other race that has to play against them lol the Zerg race by design just grows so much bigger and faster.. and with creep, they are able to hold multiple locations easier. And by building more and more hatcheries they simply are able to produce more and more stuff. It is ALWAYS on the other race to do SOMETHING to slow down the Zerg. And I just want to be clear I am not talking about diamond and masters players lol There is no doubt right now in anyone's mind that Serral is the best player to ever play SC2... its just facts. The tech units for Zerg are really good in the right hands. But I like the game the way it is. There will never be perfect balance so there will always be one race that is on top. If the races play 100% flawlessly the Zerg will win simply by being able to expand over half of the map and mining more money. Even in the fights, if Zerg uses their tech units perfectly, they have the best spell casters in the game. And if they have the bank and the larva no other race can produce a 150 supply army as quickly as zerg that is also a perfect composition to beat any army they other races could stand to produce in such a short time. I know people will disagree with me and that is perfectly fine but when we are talking about the superhuman levels or performance that Serral has proven to have.. you truly are counting on him to make a mistake. If you do something against him and it works and you win the game... its because he made a mistake. Not because you are good. People aren't perfect and everyone makes mistakes. But he who makes the least amount of mistakes wins the game. Serral has become the Floyd Mayweather of SC2... at some point you just feel foolish betting against him lol This has been true for a while. It makes me wonder why more people don't say this. The zerg creep and larva mechanics are not matched by any other game mechanic, other than possibly warping under certain conditions. Why do people pretend Zerg isn't a problem in SC2? What you said about having to stop the Zerg in order to win is exactly right. Having the initiative at the beginning of every single game is a huge advantage.

Rogue is not the zerg I would have bet on before the tournament although he obviously contributes to the pool of strong zerg players, but well done that man!
