I think "break" was meant as to not give it everything he has but still play competitively.

EDIT: It also could've meant a break of say a few days before getting back into a training regimen.

Break means cheese 2 out of every 3 games so his wrists don't hurt from all dat macro. He's been on a break since RO of 8 last season.
