Not a big fan of the Dota 2 wiki listing DPC points earned per PLAYER alongside tournament prize money earned per TEAM, seems like a big inconsistency (e.g. it should be 30k and 90 points or 10k and 30 points for third/fourth place).

Teams don't earn any points. We can just remove it if you think that's better? But i don't think having two tables is a good idea.

I'd keep the current solution and add "per player" to the tooltip of the points column header.

I just want to say, having such a long period before changes are approved really discourages people from contributing. I mean, look at this:

http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Special:PendingChanges

More than 1 month later and changes aren't even in. Meanwhile, there is history being made in tournaments every other week...

Hi, you seem to have a memory leak going on with the website. If I leave a wiki page open overnight it'll consume around 1.5gb of RAM and I'll have to kill it to use the computer. I'm on Opera (Windows 10).

Hi
Recently I made a Liquid account so I too can also edit/update Liquipedia's CSGO section when need be, and I have a few things to bring up. I wanted to update Team Liquid's CSGO page since nitr0 has been IGL for Liquid since Mykonos. On the banner on the right side of the page, it still listed stanislaw (at the time) as team captain despite on the player list the blue crown indicating captain/IGL to be nitr0. I proceeded to update the page to make the change, and an admin declined the change despite nitr0 being the IGL for over two months now. Secondly, for IEM Oakland going on currently, I was going through the info for the matches the night before, and when clicking on the "i" button for the HLTV match page for Team Liquid and Faze, it directed me to Renegades and Gambit's match. I know it is easy to oversight something like this, but I feel like the admins could do a little better in terms of making sure we have the right info posted on tournament pages, team pages, player pages etc so that people who go to Liquipedia on the daily basis can know that we do an excellent job making sure that we update the sight with the correct and factual information. I have nothing against Liquipedia; I believe this is one of the best esports sites on the web, but there is nothing wrong with stepping up some to make sure we have the correct and factual info on Liquipedia.

Thanks.

The admins don't generally deal directly with revisions and moderating content (there's thousands of pages and only a handful of admins). Your edit to the TL page, specifically, was rejected because you made it without providing any source for it, and those edits are almost always rejected. If you resubmit the edit with a link to someone on the team talking about the change, or an article announcing it or something like that, it will be approved.

captain is not equal to IGL in CS, so that's also a thing.

I would also hope that you can understand that mistakes can occasionally happen such as the wrong HLTV page being linked when there are thousands of edits made every month to the CS wiki, you can see some editor stats here http://wiki.teamliquid.net/statistics/?view=activeusers&wikis[]=counterstrike
Also with high traffiic pages such as a live premier tournament there will always be a couple people trying to update the page as fast (sometimes too fast) as possible and like tofucake says, admins are not checking over every single edit.
The basic hierarchy of users goes like this:
User - can make edits, need to be approved (you)
Editor - can approve edits and move pages (users with automatically checked edits) http://wiki.teamliquid.net/counterstrike/index.php?title=Intel_Extreme_Masters/Season_XII/Oakland&action=history
Admin - (liquipedia staff such as myself or shen)^

Hi! Front page of a wiki has match feed that has several links to playing teams and the tournament etc. What if there was also a direct link to the current phase of the said tournament? E.g. clicking on the score or something takes you straight to the page#groupstage or page#playoffs.

This idea came to my mind because there are often tournaments with lots of info such as talent lists first in the tournament pages that I have already scrolled over 50 times when I rather just go check the bracket. Now that I think of it, maybe I could get used to the content space on the left

Anyway, what do people think about this? Is it too redundant?

I think it is a good idea, but technically difficult (to say the least). As far as I know, there is currently no way to automatically determine the surrounding section for a piece of wikicode.
A possible option is adding a {{#vardefine:current_stage|CURRENT_STAGE}} before each stage, but that seems to be a lot of work. Alternatively, one might do something similar automatically with an extension for MediaWiki, but that seems to be a lot of work. If someone has a simpler/better idea for how to make it work, feel free to suggest it.

now that wol and hots ladders don't exist, is there even a point any more to keeping 3 separate pages for each unit?

As a historical reference probably yes, but the LotV one could be the default one

Is it possible to add 'Attendance/Audience' size to a tournament's sidebar? E.g. underneath the stadium/location the event was held in you would see a number for how many fans went to the event.

That is fairly easy to add yes, but do we have those numbers?

I've noticed events usually tweet out how many tickets they sold, or put together a press release after with how much engagement they had e.g. attendance, peak stream viewers etc. Would involve digging around but I think it would be cool to see how tournaments and attendance grew over the years.

Hello, may be better hide match result (for example dota main page). When i entering to check schedule i see all results of already finished matches. It's not good, some time i want to watch the match record if i was busy. Add button show result and everyone can decide what they want.
Also you can implement settings show/don't show results
