So to start, could I ask why we won't allow the thread to continue into Day 1 with a mod note announcing the stricter moderation and the links to the important posts in the OP more or less the same as any other LR thread? In the end it doesn't make much difference between 100 pages of spam and 1000. Also, can we get a slightly more detailed account of how the mods reached the decision to close the thread and the interim between that decision and Zealously's announcement? | ||

We figured there was no harm in letting things run like this for a while before the biggest tournament of the year, but the majority of staff members agree that this thread isn't practical for the actual purpose of being an LR thread dedicated to the tournament itself. | ||

And yes there was a ton of shitposting in this thread, but there was also actual hype content created. | ||
