Friendly Url's

Teamliquidpro already uses friendly urls. Any reason that teamliquid doesn't already?

Like to make this thread the url is
http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/addtopic.php?type=7

but it would be much better if it was
http://www.teamliquid.net/Website-feedback/threads/new

and viewing the newly created thread should be
http://www.teamliquid.net/website-feedback/threads/Friendly-Urls
or
http://www.teamliquid.net/website-feedback/threads/2011/06/02/Friendly-Urls

the teamliquidpro uses dates in the url, (which is fine and helps google results) so that could be added as well.

Could be a nice organizational change, might be quite an undertaking to retroactively implement though (or maybe a simple as re-orginazing all the threads' urls by forum)

Hopefully it's just one of the many features on the list to be implemented

Ultimately, this kind of change would do away with the topic ID numbers, which Hot_Bid would protest, sniping big numbers is just too exciting. (300,000 is nigh upon us!)

I like the way it is right now, to be honest. I guess it's possible to have two links to the same thread, though. One friendly, one ID-based.

I don't see why you'd ever need such a URL when making a thread. It's additional work that serves no useful purpose, when the development time could be better used elsewhere.
