For the last year or so, I've been posting the recommended VODs from BW LR threads in the "Recommended VODs" thread.
With the rise of SC2, I wonder if it makes sense to explicitly create distinct "recommended VODs" threads for SC1 and SC2. While it's generally easy to tell which one someone is recommending currently, it does mean there's some talking-past-each-other, and folks (like me) who don't care about one of the two have to wade through games that aren't at all interesting to them.
I didn't want to hijack the Recommended VODs thread itself to debate this, hence this thread. Any strong opinions, especially from mods & admins? I'd prefer separate threads, myself, but I'm content to live with either outcome if the community feels strongly.

In fact, why not just separate the forum completely? Most of the SC2 nubs are really aggravating. For sc2: Teamliquid2.

Yes, separate threads please. The reasoning is simple: if someone only follows one game they don't have to sift through the crap from the other game.

I fully support separating the two. I follow broodwar but have zero interest in SC2. Here's hoping for another proleague season starting soon with new VODS to recommend and watch. Thanks ZeroDPX

Assuming sentiment continues to be so one-sided, is it possible for a moderator to rename the existing thread "Recommended VODs of SC1 games" and pin a new "Recommended VODs of SC2 games" alongside it? Or is there a better way to achieve this, e.g. by moving the threads to the Broodwar and SC2 sections of the site?

OK, I asked a couple random staff members about this. Supposedly it is now in discussion amongst the staff and we'll see what happens. If I hear nothing for a week I'll pester people again.

Now that Proleague has started up again, could we get this thread moved to broodwar? Ever since this thread disappeared from the sidebar, it seems like the amount of people posting in it has decreased drastically. ZeroDPX does a good job of pulling recommended games from each LR thread, but since the current trend is to use polls to determine which games are good, almost every game gets recommended. Comments from other users are needed in the Recommended Games thread to figure out which games are truly good, and which are just mediocre. The thread just isn't as useful without their input.

I moved the thread to Brood War, where the Small VOD Thread now lives as well.
It looks like there isn't much SC2 VOD posting in that thread, and now that it's in BW I doubt there will be any. ZeroDPX the thread is kind of your baby now, so if you want to make it exclusive to BW I'm on board. Separation makes more sense now that it's no longer in the Featured Threads forum. I guess when demand for a SC2 Recommended VODs thread (is the SC2 Small VOD thread even fully operational?) gets high enough, we'll see one of those.
Thanks again for all the work you've done in that thread Zero. I've used it a ton over the past months.
