edit: lol so fast edit2: In some threads the All button is simply not there, is that because it has a huge amount of pages or is it a bug?

A shame, since it was nice to wake up and view a proleague or starleague livereport thread all in one page, and many of them end up with over 20 pages.

Also, is there an easier way to link to specific posts? Right now you need to calculate what number the post is over the entire thread instead of 1-20 of that page :{

So instead of having to click through 20 to 40 different pages when reading a typical LR thread the next day, it would only take 4-8 pages.

Maybe it let's the user input 2 page numbers a maximum of 10 pages apart and then shows that block?

If you want feedback then it would be great if all or view x pages could be implemented as it's awesome for scanning large posts for good posts. Personally, I looked at the micro post (http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=121769¤tpage=last) in the SC2 forum and I didn't want to step through 39 pages (and counting) of replies. I simply wanted to scan the article for the MIR posts as, to me, they have much higher value than a normal user's post and I simply don't want to read 580 normal user posts page by page. In either case, I love TL.net and thank you for all the hard work!

Well when a thread has 20+ pages I'm not too fond of constantly having to hit next, I'd rather just have, fewer, longer pages. Especially since I tend to skim through posts and not read every word when I encounter a long thread for the first time.

I despise it, if forums give me the option to view more posts per page I always set it to the maximum. I always hit 'all' on threads except for that images one. Having the option to view more than the 20(?) posts per page would be good enough if 'all' takes too much resources.

Other options for dealing with the performance of viewing all messages in a thread, is dynamically loading content. Somewhat like slashdot's approach. Though this would take quite some time to implement, I imagine. A third idea, for live report threads, it would be great if the OP maintainer would include post links to various points in the thread for each match played. A community provided solution.

I still hold the opinion that an option for 100 posts per page would be tremendously helpful, since that would cut the pages needed to traverse by 5 times. Plus since "all" is available on threads with 20 or fewer pages (400 or fewer posts) wouldn't 100 posts be fine?

There's not really a reason to have that much on screen, and in a thread like the SFW pictures it would probably make the earth explode. That's the point though... Like for live report threads... Sometimes you just want it all to load at once instead of having to click the next page number over and over... You'd rather just lay in bed and only have to roll the scroll button. I'm not too familiar with programming websites etc. But does anyone know how hard this would be to implement?

![]() Forums like 2+2 have options in your forum profile to increase the number of posts per page to 100 and I think it works great. This means that a) people without a profile won't be using up as much of TL's resources, b) that even newer members probably won't be aware either so they also won't be loading up 100 pictures, posts, whatever all the time. Personally for me, on a computer I don't mind clicking next and reading through every page, but I often browse TL on my crappy smart phone and loading 20 posts at a time through a LR trying to follow the action gets tedious as the phone sucks/takes forever to load ![]()

Course, I have no complains personally ![]() I was actually about to ask if it's possible for "View all" to be permanently enabled in just the mafia forum. Our traffic isn't that big where it would stress TL band width and we use it very often in mafia. It's always really depressing right now when a game breaks 50 pages and life becomes way more difficult.

Like in this thread I just had to press it three times to get it to show all 3 pages. I've been having the same issue. It's not a consistent problem, and the problem itself is sometimes different. Sometimes pressing All repeatedly will make all the comments load, but other times I can click forever and nothing will happen. I'm not sure if this detail will help, but when you click "All", even if it doesn't work, the page will still scroll all the way up to the top. It doesn't get refreshed or reloaded, obviously.

Just wondering if there are still plans to do this or if there are any work arounds to view more info at once. Thanks. Edit: Also in that same thread, to avoid asking the same question, is there a way to search within just that thread? (this isn't as easy anymore since the 'view all' is no longer there.
