SKT1 defeats eSTRO 3-2!

The winners who made it possible

SKT1's ace player

+ Show Spoiler [Interview with Best] +

Best: "I hope people don't look down on the effort I put in."
"I was very sorry towards my teammates when I lost in the previous ace match."

'Monster' (P)BeSt ended his two-game losing streak and contributed to his team's win, defeating eSTRO's (T)Really in the first set, making up for his two consecutive losses in his games against CJ and WeMade FOX.

The following is the interview with Best.

- Your thoughts on your victory today and ending your 2-game losing streak in Proleague?
▲ I lost in the previous ace match so I was very sorry towards my teammates. I wanted to win today and be of help to my team, and now that I've won, I'm very happy.

- It seems you won too easily.
▲ I wanted to show something special today so I prepared a special build, but I won too easily after I defended my opponent's cheese rush, so I am kind of disappointed, but in the end, I still won, and that is more important. I can just show my prepared build the next time I get to play.

- Your wins in Round 4 is almost on par with your losses.
▲ My record is 4 wins and 3 losses in Round 4. In Round 3 it was 4 wins 8 losses. I will work hard and make sure I have much more wins than losses in Round 4. And I will aim for high winning rate in Round 5.

- You were in a 2-game losing streak and got many fans worried.
▲ I lost twice in a row, and one of the losses came from the previous ace match, so there were many fans who got worried. But I am not thinking too much about that. I am working hard as usual, so (my fans) can stop worrying.

- Do you wish to say anything to (T)fantasy, who will be celebrating his 2nd year since his debut tomorrow?
▲ I got nothing when I reached my 2nd year since my debut, but Fantasy is celebrating it so he must be feeling very. For me, it was in October last year (laughs). I hope we can continue gaming until we can celebrate even our 10th year. I want to be a progamer until the 30s (laughs).

- Your team's last match in Round 4 will be against your rivals, KTF.
▲ Playing against KTF means it's a rival match. I want to play, but since it's our last match in Round 4, we'll have to send out a line up that can ensure our victory. But I really hope I will be part of it. It doesn't matter who I'll be facing.

- Any final words?
▲ I lost in the ace match against WeMade FOX and many fans swore a lot at me. If I lose a game, it can't be helped that people will swear at me. But I hope they will not look down on the effort I put in. I really practiced very hard for the match. I am very hurt when people post things like "did you even practice".

+ Show Spoiler [Interview with Fantasy] +

Fantasy: "I was very touched."
"I am thankful for celebrating my 2nd year since my debut."

'Master of Vultures' (T)fantasy succeeded in recording his 22nd win of the season after showing solid defense and strong counterattack in his game against eSTRO's (P)SangHo in the 2nd set on Outsider.

The following is the interview with Fantasy.

- Your thoughts on your win in the second set?
▲ I am very happy that we won today. We were winning 2:0 so we were very happy, but suddenly it got until the 5th set and I was worried whether I will be interviewed today. But I managed to be interviewed today, so I am happy. I can only be happy for today, and I will have to start working hard from tomorrow onwards once again.

- Your fans brought many presents to celebrate your 2nd year since your debut.
▲ I only knew that when I came to the stadium today, and I found out that I made my debut on the 20th of May. Tomorrow's my 2nd anniversary of my debut, and my fans brought my many presents. I was very touched. I will work harder in the future.

- What did you feel when you heard that it has been 2 years since your debut?
▲ I usually don't get nervous, but after hearing that, I suddenly got nervous for no reason. But my coaching staff told me not to get worried, and gave me many advice, and hence I was able to take the game with ease.

- You defended well against Sangho's Dark Templar drop and took the game easily.
▲ I think he watched my games and created a build to suit my play. But my build is also one which can easily defend dark templar rushes. I think he initiated the drop because I had no missle turrets, but I am always prepared against dark templar drops. Also, I scouted with my SCV that his dragoon range upgrade wasn't done, so I somewhat anticipated it.

- The gap between your team and Hwaseung isn't getting closer.
▲ We were cheering for STX heavily in their Proleague match yesterday, but Hwaseung still did not lose. But I expect them to lose at least once or twice. And if we meet in Round 5 and win, I believe we will definitely be able to overtake them in the end.

- Any words to your fans?
▲ It has been hectic lately so I did not tend much to my fan cafe (t/l note: Fansite run by fans), but they still supported and looked out for me so much, and I am very thankful. I will post on my fan cafe when I return to the dorms, and I look forward to everyone's continued support. My fan cafe has now 1000 registered members. I hope more people who have yet to register will do so (laughs).

- Any final words?
▲ Round 4 is coming to an end soon. We want to end off the round by defeating KTF in our last match of the round. Hyuk hyung was very sad after his loss today. There will be times when they lose, so I hope he will perk up.

+ Show Spoiler [Interview with Bisu] +

Bisu: "If I face Flash, I will definitely defeat him."
"We ended off today well so I'm relieved."

"The Revolutionist" Bisu defeated eSTRO's Hyvaa in the ace match, showing his incredible PvZ skills and sealed his team's victory, recording his 44th win of the season in process. With this win, he has overtaken Jaedong to claim the title of 'greatest number of wins'.

The following is the interview with Bisu.

- Your thoughts on ended off well by winning in the ace match?
▲ I did not expect myself to play today. Our team was winning 2:0 so I expected a 3:0 victory. But unfortunately I was sent out. But at least we ended off well today, so I am rather relieved.

- Were you prepared to play in the ace match?
▲ I did practice. But most of my teammates practiced for the ace match as well. I think that I was sent out because of the coach's decision. I had always been practicing, so I was confident in playing against Zergs. I was very happy when I saw that they sent out a zerg player.

- You have now the highest number of wins. How do you feel?
▲ I don't feel anything special yet. The competition was like this since a month ago. It is still not finalised. I want to be asked this question in the later half of Round 5.

- You look tired recently.
▲ I have been tired lately. I feel very sleepy. I think it's because I sleep very late. I practice very long, but I think that sleeping early is rather wasteful. I will have to make sleeping earlier a habit.

- Your 1 dark templar did a lot.
▲ It was a result even I did not expect. I think my opponent was too nervous, even though it was still early into the game. It was then when I knew I had won.

- There are many fans who are looking forward to watch you playing against (Z)Jaedong.
▲ I want to face the strongest players in the grandest stage, if possible. I think it's better to face them in the semifinals or finals for individual leagues, and for ace matches and such for Proleague. Jaedong is a strong player, so I believe we will surely face each other some day.

- Your team's next match will be against your rivals, KTF.
▲ I don't have any special thoughts. But if I do happen to face Flash, I believe I will have to definitely defeat him. It is because of the competition for the title of highest number of wins. But no matter who I get to face, I think that doing my best is the most important.

- Any final words?
▲ Our team's zergs, (Z)Thezerg and (Z)Hyuk both lost today. But they both prepared very hard, so I hope they can cheer up.

Bisu definitely looks the most normal out of the entire SKT1 team

It's okay about your team's zergs Bisu, when they win it's a bonus >.>

Thanks for the translation.

Its amazing that Bisu practices so hard that he think sleep is "wasteful". I never cease to be amazed by the amount of hardwork and dedication which these professional gamers put into the game to turn it into the artform it is today.

I would love to see Bisu vs Flash or BeSt vs Flash, would be an awesome match since flash is coming off 2 straight losses to protoss and he's definitely going to play his best.
