+ Show Spoiler [Interview with Pure] +

Pure: "I think I will start performing better through this MSL qualification."
"Shine[Kal] helped me to prepare an unbeatable strategy for the second set."

WeMade FOX's (P)Pure has successfully qualified for his first MSL since his debut, by defeating Woongjin's (Z)GGPlay and CJ's (Z)Kwanro in his Group 9 of the Survivor Tournament, held on the 30th of April.

The following is the interview with Pure.

- You have successfully qualified for your first MSL.
▲ I am still feeling nervous. Of course, I did practice, but I focused on just winning the first set and hence did not prepare fully. However, I managed to qualify with two wins, so I feel good. I think that I must do much better in the actual MSL.

- How was your match with GGPlay?
▲ If the zerg gets his natural expansion, then he will be able to go on the 'Crazy Zerg' mode. They will upgrade from two chambers. During practice, I managed to win with my first rush, but I did not break his sunkens completely, so I was slightly at a loss, but using my corsairs actively later on helped me greatly.

- You summoned a Dark Archon early in the game.
▲ I was sure that GGPlay will go for mutalisks, so I made a Dark Archon. It was a good choice on my part, but GGPlay did not bundle his mutalisks together, so it was not used efficiently.

- The strategy you used in the second set was good.
▲ It was a strategy I could use only if I spawned at the bottom. It was a strategy that had a 50% chance of being able to be used, and our team's (Z)Shine[kaL] helped me to prepare this strategy. I prayed for my position to be at the bottom, and when it did, I felt relieved. It's a strategy that the opponent will definitely fall for if they have never experienced it.

- You seem be picking up your pace.
▲ I won today, so it's getting even better. I was doing well in Proleague, but I started losing a few matches, so I thought I was going to slump, but through today's two wins, I feel that I will rise again.

- Your winning rate against Zergs isn't very good.
▲ It is hard to play against Zergs, but with some practice, it is a more fun match up. I felt that again during practice, where I practiced against Zergs.

- Your target and how far are you willing to go?
▲ My initial target was to get into the MSL, and now that I have achieved that target, my new target has to be something higher. Of course, my ultimate goal is to win the MSL. The MSL has more fresh players, so I feel that I have to prepare hard for every single match. I played my first game in the Survivor Tournament in 2007, so I feel that my MSL qualification came kind of late, but I will work hard to remain in the MSL from here onwards.

- Any final words?
▲ I feel that I managed to qualify for this MSL because of Shine[Kal]'s ultimate strategy I used in the second set. There are many other people who helped me as well, and I am thankful towards them. When we get back to our dorms, I will have to treat them all to a meal.

+ Show Spoiler [Interview with Fantasy] +

Fantasy: "I felt that I could win as long as I did not have to face Tempest."
"I will quickly head back to our training house and help my teammates with the (OSL) preliminaries practice."

'Master of Vultures' (T)fantasy has successfully qualified for his 4th consecutive MSL after defeating KTF's (Z)ZergBong and Hite's (P)Horang2 in his Group 10 of the Survivor Tournament, held on the 30th of April.

With great defense, he fended off ZergBong's 1 hatchery attack and made it into the Winner's Match, where he messed up HoRang2's strategy through detailed scouting.

The following is the interview with Fantasy.

- Your thoughts on your 4th consecutive MSL qualification.
▲ I did not prepare well for today. I felt uneasy, but as the games progressed, my opponents did not play standard. That is why I managed to defend easily and qualified, and I feel good. I could not prepare a lot for today, so many of my plays were thought of on-the-spot, and overall it went well. Tomorrow is the (OSL) preliminaries so it must have been busy, but our team's Zerg players gave some of their time to help me with practice, and for that, I am grateful.

- Your opponents were the ones who prepared builds to use against you. Do you think you won because you have gotten stronger?
▲ I think so too, to a certain extent. I play normally, but there are times when my opponents overreact to my plays.

- You used dropships and vultures heavily
▲ If I did not prepare anything, then that is the play I am most confident in. And somehow, I ended up using them again today. I feel proud and good because I won using something that I specialize in.

- You were attacked by a 1-hatchery play on Byzantium 3.
▲ It was the first time I had faced such a strategy. Honestly speaking, I was quite shaken and I started having many complicated thoughts. But I reacted, thinking 'how should I play in order for someone to say "You have played well"'. In the past, it would not have been strange if I lost to such a strategy, but I managed to defend well because of my accumulation of experience.

- You defended well against Horang2's trump card.
▲ I thought that he did not show me his probe after building his gateway. That is why I anticipated a chain attack and scouted the bottom area.

- Did you anticipate Horang2 using such a tactic in the Winner's Match?
▲ I came all the way here, believing a bit too much in (T)Light's TvP. Before the match, Light bragged to me, saying that he will make our score 5:0 in his favor (laughs). In the end, I got to play against a Protoss, so I told myself to play safe. I did not practice much, but I am happy that I won by defeating Horang2. It is too tiring to play a one hour Battlecruiser fight with Light (laughs).

- Your target for this MSL.
▲ My target for this MSL is to win the finals. I think that I can win, as long as I don't face (P)Tempest (laughs).

- You seem to have gotten stronger after your 2 consecutive OSL runner-up titles.
▲ If I won, I might have gotten lazy, but after being the runner-up twice, I became even more active. Every time I thought back about my loss in the finals, I felt sad, and it motivated me to practice even harder.

- Any final words?
▲ I managed to qualify for this MSL because everyone who is going for the preliminaries helped me bit-by-bit. I will quickly head back to our training house and help my teammates with the (OSL) preliminaries practice. Lastly, today is the last time Manager Jeon Man Seok will be with us, and he will be posted to another department. I am really grateful towards him, and I would like to tell him "Job well done". Also, I won all my matches (t/l note: BoXs, not as in every game) except the finals, so I would like to climb high up the ranks for May's rankings.

Why is fantasy so scared of Tempest? Or was that a joke?

It's a joke, because I believe Tempest knocked Fantasy out the last MSL.

Tempest has knocked Fantasy out in both ClubDay MSL and LostSaga MSL.

Fantasy, The Master of the Vultures. THE MASTER. Makes sense given that Boxer was Lord of the rines, only makes sense.

Fantasy is really maturing as a player - and gives real interviews, none of that "I'll do my best for my fans kay?"

Great interviews.

If fantasy can learn to manage large armies of bionic TvZ with the mastery of flash/hwasin, I truely believe he will climb over 70% TvZ during his career. He is just so tough/smart.

Fakesteve sold him on him a couple days ago. There is just no denying he is the best terran in the world.
