- Nowadays the team is practicing even harder so I’m very happy that those efforts seem to be paying off.

It seems like your skills have improved recently.
- Every time I hear that, it makes me think I must work even harder. I even go to extra lengths to make sure I don’t get too cocky again.

You’re currently on a 8 win streak.
- I think I’m winning because my play is working out just as I practiced it. The fact that I gained confidence when I won on a huge stage is also helping me.

If you were to evaluate today’s match.
- In the beginning, I was a bit taken aback because of my opponent’s proxy gate strategy. However, as soon as I got past that I think the game played out smoothly. When I noticed that my opponent’s scouting probe arrived a bit early, the thought that he might be using proxy gates came to mind and so I ended up scouting for it.

What was the moment you felt you were going to win?
- When my opponent lost all his dragoons in the area behind his nat, I knew I had won.

If there is a secret to the team’s rise lately…
- Of course there is the factor that we’ve been practicing harder, but I also think everyone has gotten used to playing broadcasted matches now. I think that’s why everyone’s skills are appropriately being displayed now.

With this momentum, you have a shot at going straight to the finals.
- We’re always overflowing with confidence. However, because you can’t win games on confidence alone, we’ll always be on edge as we prepare. If we just work hard, I think it’s very possible we can go straight to the finals.

Your next opponent is MBC Game.
- Once the entries are out, depending on who our opponents are we will prepare accordingly. In the next match we will also go 3:0.

Last words?
- fOru and Rage are coming back soon and I want to get close to them (laughs). I also hope that the number of fans who cheer for me may increase.

You played against a formidable opponent and won.
- Rather than because it was Jaedong I was playing, I knew if I lost I would be heavily disappointed in myself. I believed in myself and played and so I’m very happy that I won.

Your opponent was Jaedong – wasn’t that a lot of pressure to be facing?
- It’s true that Jaedong is good but I didn’t feel especially scared or get that worried. Rather, it seemed the people around me were more worried.

You attempted a cannon rush.
- I kept changing my build as I practiced and up until right before the game I still hadn’t decided what to use. So I just decided to believe in myself and play however my hand decided. Today’s game was also improvised on the spot.

Though the first cannon rush was a gamble, you tried a rush again.
- As I pulled his attention with my zealot rush, I pursued it and was successful. That cannon rush was very helpful towards my eventual victory.

What was the moment you felt you had won?
- During practice, even when I had taken down the hatchery I lost many times. So I couldn’t lose focus. Once I gained control of my opponent’s nat, that’s when I thought I had won.

CJ’s current momentum is formidable.
- The team’s atmosphere is great and because everyone is working hard I think the results are showing up as they are now.

fOru and Rage are returning to the team.
- Because they have a lot of experience I believe they will give me a lot of great advice.

Last words?
- In the GOM Classic I also play Jaedong, and through this game I believe that my recognition of the upcoming game’s win/loss has changed.

You completed the team’s victory.
- I’m extremely happy. Because we were ahead 2:0, I played comfortably.

You dealt with a lot of harass.
- I have a feeling the fact that I didn’t make spore colonies will be brought up. However, the reason I didn’t build spore colonies is because I didn’t feel they were necessary. Because the build I chose involved producing many hydralisks I didn’t think it was a problem, but because my opponent was very good at harass I just suffered a bit more.

The competition to get a chance to play is intense.
- That’s something that depends on the individual. When people ask if it is hard to get a chance to play, because I’m part of the competition in my perspective it’s 10 times more difficult. I think trying not to think about that and working hard is right so I’m disciplining my mindset. When the opportunity is given, because I must win it’s the truth to say I feel a lot of pressure.

How do you assess the new maps?
- Personally, I think the maps are very favorable for zerg. They say that whenever new maps come out, they are zerg-friendly but when looking at the past, terran and protoss have always come up with methods to beat zerg so it has balanced out. So I think we’ll just have to wait and see.

fOru and Rage are coming back to the team.
- I’m happy. When I was a rookie it wasn’t Savior hyung and Iris hyung that were the seniors but fOru hyung, OversKy hyung, and Rage hyung that were the seniors. They took good care of me and encouraged me a lot as well. Personally I think the team’s synergy will improve a lot.

CJ’s atmosphere lately is great.
- I’m thankful to Skyhigh. For the team’s atmosphere, it’s not winning the 1st and 2nd round of the Proleague but winning on a big stage that is important and Skyhigh fulfilled that role. Currently our team has so many great players so it’s hard to get a chance to play. Orion hyung, Nbs hyung, and Memory hyung don’t get to play much but their abilities are really outstanding. In the future, if the fans anticipate performances by many more players, they won’t regret it.

Last words?
- I have a very aggressive style. Therefore I’ve been working on learning management in order to control my aggression. At first, I learned a lot from Savior hyung and GGplay hyung. Once GGplay hyung returned to Woongjin, I wavered a bit but nowadays I’m learning from Savior hyung again.
Lately because I’ve been sitting next to Savior hyung, we fool around a lot and have gotten a lot closer. But it seems the joking around has gotten a bit intense (laughs). Before the match we were saying hwaiting when Savior hyung leaned into my ear and after saying “CJ hwaiting” proposed that I play a prank on Much hyung which is just one example (laughs). Of course, I also love playing pranks but I think there’s a need to use them in moderation. Oh! Of course besides Savior hyung I love all my CJ teammates.
