Also, I don't know if this is in there but if you press the first alphanumeric character when in a folder it will jump to it. So like
C:/Program Files then press 'S' and it'll take you to starcraft (or near it anyways).

and if you keep pressing it it will scroll down through the S's. \

This is the same kind of idea when you are in your cell phone contact list.

Also, someone on IRC told me (sorry I forgot who you were !!) Carnac? told me that if you hold alt when you press print screen that it will just copy the window that is on top (or in use). So you don't have to have an RPF moment lol.

I've mentioned that in every single thread where someone gets ragged on for other things opened. Either people are stupid or they like others to see what they have open. I think it's the latter.

Yeah, it was me.

There are a couple of useful ones in that list I didn't know about, like F2 for renaming.

I learned about F2 last year, helps so fucking much with mp3 files.

Another big one that I use a lot is Ctrl+Alt+Del , alt+u, alt+u . (try it)

i always turn my monitor off before shutting down in a hurry , and this helps cause I can't see the manual start menu way anymore.

alt+enter would help with the ID3 tags too/.

I used to use this but i just rebinded my mouse forward and back to do that for me. God i love side buttons. as far as renaming just click on the name in the right spot and wait and it will allow you to rename.

hahahahahahahaha, good luck with that ^_-

Its so easy renaming MP3's I should make a video about it using all the shortcuts.

What I do is open the album folder click the first song hit f2, rename the file (in the format of ## Title - Artist - Album) once I do that I ctrl+C the 'Artist - Album' and then press enter. Down arrow, f2 rename ## Title Ctrl+V. Rinse repeat.

Or if you wanna look like a pro just rename all the ## Title first. Then go back to the top and do the ' - Artist - Album' with space before the first hyphen and just spam f2, right arrow, ctrl+V, enter, down arrow, over and over.

Then I go into properties and copy everything.

PS- make sure that in a windows folder: tools>folder options>View that hide extensions for known file types is checked for all folders (or at least the one with the MP3s). So that way you don't have to type .mp3 after everything

That does seem more effecent in terms of renaming everything but idk what the artest is etc i just want the name. I got a bunch of 1 hit wonders on my mp3 players only bands are. The Distillers, RHCP, Yeah Yeah Yeah's, Weezer and thats about it.
