EPTas most of you know of my notorious ammount of choking in wcg this past year, i decided to quit broodwar after wcg and didnt play it for about 3 weeks straight. i decided to quit because right b4 wcg i was playing like almost 4 hours a day and it was taking all the fun out of it. after my failure at wcg i decided to quit permanantly and try to devote time to the things i used to enjoy b4 i started playing brood war too much. the reason i asked this question to all of you, is because with no major competitions available for foriegners for another year (for the most part) why keep playing a game and dedicating time to it to improve in skill, if nothing serious happens for another year or so?
for me i have started playing a little bit now and again and have really started enjoying the game for what it is, and have found that the less i actually devote to playing it the more i tend to enjoy it. But what about all of you who still play this game seriously? what drives you to spend as much time as you do with this game? furthermore, what about players of extremely strong skill levels already? (naz etc..) what is in it for them? why do they still play?
, before that every1 basically played wgtour on a pretty serious level..or west 
then war3 came and stuff..and on the run to the dutch wcg qualification u started to play less serious..I think!
