-르까프와 통합 챔피언전에 임하는 각오가 있다면.
▶전기리그 우승을 하고 난 뒤 후기리그에서는 아쉽게 5위로 마감했다. 그만큼 경기에 굶주려 있고 더 많은 경기를 보여주고 싶다. 준비도 많이 하고 있기 때문에 이번에도 4대0 승리를 거둘 수 있도록 노력하겠다.
-What is your resolve for the Grand Finals against Lecaf.
▶After winning the first half of the Proleague we regrettably finished 5th in the second. We are very hungry for more matches and we want to show more of our power. We have been preparing a lot so we will try to win 4-0.
-엔트리를 짤 때 어떤 부분에 주안점을 두었나.
▶우리 팀은 상대 팀에 맞춰서 엔트리를 짜는 편이다. 르까프가 정공법을 사용하는 팀이라 그에 맞춰서 기용했고, 삼성전자 칸이 정공법으로 붙어도 충분히 이길 수 있다고 생각한다. 1세트의 경우 이제동의 출전을 확신하고 김동건을 기용했다. 장용석 선수가 후기리그 정규 시즌에서 이제동 선수를 이겼던 것처럼 김동건 선수가 좋은 경기를 펼칠 것으로 기대한다.
-What was the main focus of the entry?
▶Our team tends to match the other team’s roster. Lecaf likes to have straight up entries so we made the lineup with that in mind, and I believe in a straight up match we can win convincingly. We completely anticipated Jaedong in the first set and put Frozean in that set. As Jang Yong Suk beat Jaedong in the regular season, I believe Frozean will play a strong game.
-르까프의 우세를 점치는 감독이 많다.
▶르까프의 우세를 점치는 의견이 많은 이유는 르까프가 후기리그 우승을 한 기세를 인정하기 때문으로 파악한다. 르까프의 방심을 유도하기 위한 예측으로 받아들이겠다.
-Many coaches predict Lecaf’s Victory.
▶The reason for that is because the coaches see that Lecaf has the momentum after winning the Playoffs. We’ll see it as a reason for Lecaf to become too cocky.
-4세트에서 송병구와 오영종이 다시 만났는데.
▶송병구 선수가 이길 것으로 확신하고 있다. 내가 르까프 감독이라면 카트리나에 오영종 선수를 쓰지 않았을 것이다. 오히려 다른 경기에 내는 편이 승리를 착실히 쌓을 수 있는 방안이라고 생각한다.
-In the 4th set Stork and Anytime fight each other again.
▶I am sure that Stork will win. If I was the Lecaf coach I wouldn’t have put Anytime on Katrina. I think putting him in a different set would have been a better choice to secure the win.
-경기 결과를 예상한다면.
▶1경기는 5대5로 보고 있다. 1경기를 놓치더라도 나머지 세트들은 우리 팀이 우세하다고 생각한다. 1세트에서 김동건 선수가 이긴다면 전기리그 결승과 마찬가지로 4대0 승리가 예상된다.
-What do you predict from the games.
▶The first set is about 50:50. I think that our team is stronger in every set after that. If Frozean wins in the first set, then I expect a 4-0 like the last proleague finals.
-팀플레이 경기 양상을 전망한다면.
▶삼성전자의 팀플레이가 최고인 것은 말할 것도 없다. 박성훈-이창훈 선수가 가장 잘하는 불의전차 맵이 사용되고 이재황-임채성 선수도 출전하다. 우리 팀 팀플레이 선수들은 2-3년 동안 단련된 최고의 선수들이라는 사실은 르까프에서도 인식하고 있을 것이다. 르까프의 손주흥-최가람 조합도 강하지만 경험 면에서는 부족하다고 생각한다. 김성곤-이유석 조합은 기본기도 탄탄하고 어느 정도의 실력은 갖추고 있지만 아직까지 잘하는 팀플레이 조합은 아니라고 생각한다.
-What do you expect from the Teamplays (2v2s)?
▶Samsung obviously has the strongest 2v2 lineup. Chariots of Fire, where Park Sung Hoon and Lee Chang Hoon’s strongest maps, are being used, and the TT/ sigamari combo is being used too. Our teamplay players are the best because they have 2-3 years of hard work and experience behind them, and Lecaf should be afraid of them. Lecaf’s Lomo/Shinhwa combination is strong too, but they still lack experience. The Bright/ N.ACE)Ever combo has the basics down but they’re still not a good team play combination.
-르까프의 에이스 결정전 출전 선수를 예상한다면.
▶에이스 결정전에는 이제동 선수가 나올 것으로 생각한다.
-Who do you think Lecaf will send for the Ace match.
▶Obviously Jaedong is gonna come out. Their lineup is so predictable.
-세리머니 준비는 어떻게 하고 있는지.
▶ 아직까지 특별한 세리머니를 생각하지 않았지만 선수들과 상의해서 합동 세리머니를 준비하도록 하겠다. 이성은 선수의 세리머니는 같은 팀 입장에서도 감당이 되지 않을 때가 많다. 르까프에서 이성은 선수의 세리머니를 보기 싫다면 더 많은 준비를 해야 될 것이다.
-세리머니 준비는 어떻게 하고 있는지.
▶ We haven’t thought of a special ceremony yet but we will have a discussion to prepare a group ceremony. FBH’s ceremonies are hard to watch even for our team. If Lecaf doesn’t want to see his ceremony they better prepare harder.
-우승을 차지한 뒤 프러포즈를 하고 싶은 생각은 없는지.
▶아직 그런 계획은 없다. 조정웅 감독님은 결혼 날짜도 잡았고 일이 착착 진행되고 있으니 이번 우승은 양보하셔야 하는 것이 아닌가 싶다. 조정웅 감독이 승리의 키스를 하지 못하게 하기 위해서라도 반드시 우승하겠다.
-Do you have thoughts about proposing after winning the Grand Finals.
▶I don’t have plans like that yet. Coach Cho already has a date for their wedding and things are going well so they should let us win this time. We will win just so that he does not get to do his “Kiss Ceremony”
-팬들에게 한마디 한다면.
▶경기할 때마다 찾아주시는 팬들이 큰 힘이 된다. 팬들이 한마음으로 응원해줄 때 선수들도 큰 힘을 얻는다. 이번 통합 챔피언전에도 많이 오셔서 응원해주시기 바란다.
-Words for the fans.
▶The fans that come cheer our team are a great asset to our team. Our players feel much stronger when the fans cheer them on. I hope to see many of them at the Grand Finals.
