Wow. You sure have set my mind straight

I guess we'll have to work more together then, if we want to win.

My vote's going to you :D

I vote for Tracil for mayor.

as much as i want to vote for somuchbetter, tracil has very good points, though i'll admit it does make me more suspicious of him. but he's played this before so my vote goes to tracil

OR!
Maybe dr dragoon was trying to bait shallow and see if it was HE that was the dumb mafia and being the mafia that he is dancefayedance!~ jumped on his chance to accuse two townies.

AND he voted for Tracil!

you've found many opportunities to accuse people, but how do we know you are not a mafia member yourself. deliberately accusing everyone as mafia members to give the impression you aren't one yourself?

i sincerely believe dr.dragoon is mafia because of his reaction to shallow[bay]'s print screen. It does state in the very beginning that mafia members know other mafia members. why would dr.dragoon say shallow[bay] was a mafia member if he knew he was a mafia member himself?a rule we are all well aware of ( if we read the rules which im assuming you did) it's because dr.dragoon wanted to throw everyone into confusion! i think what dr.dragoon did is very cunning. he knew that it would be screen shotted. with this in mind he used a poor bait to throw us off. it wasn't that he was trying to bait shallow[bay] into admitting he was another mafia member ( because if shallow[bay] were he would know if dr.dragoon was a mafia member or not) it's because he wanted to use that poor attempt of a trap to really steer us away from believing he was a mafia member. now this is why i think shallow[bay] could be a mafia member. either dr.dragoon and shallow]bay] planned this, because for shallow[bay] to accuse dr.dragoon and post 'incriminating' evidence would mean that shallow[bay] has a shallow intelligence or because they both planned this out.

im almost certain that dr.dragoon is a mafia member. it's about 60% for shallow[bay]. I think i've found clues pointing to both of them and other players which i will post when we elect a mayor.

this could be taken two ways. you're acting confident to lead us away or you're telling the truth whch means you're just an idiot who didn't plan that all out. so far all the evidence supports the former

I find that intriguing. My suspicion of Tracil has actually gone way down.

and why is that? every post of his is him just turning it around on everyone else. its the beginning of the game. why cant people suspect him of being the mafia? he obviously has the experience so he knows what to do and what to say, which would make people weary, but it seems like he responds back to every single post that says he is the mafia. the only suspicion i have is that he is too consistent in responding back to every posts that says "lynch tracil he is the mafia!!". I admit it's not much and that's why I am still voting for him but dont let your guard down this early in the game, especially for someone like tracil that knows how to play the game.

I did think that of course and it is plausible. i was only worried that he is trying to be mayor so he has more reason to defend his "good" name if he is a mafia member. i wasnt suspicious at first really, however, i tried to watch his posts and see how much of an effort he takes in responding to all of them that say he is the mafia. we all know dr.dragoon is the first one to get lynched, and if tracil isn't a mafia member he knows that the second day clues won't lead to him, so why be so persistent in defending your character especially when you already have majority of the votes for mayor? but if he is a mafia member he would take more time clearing up his name especially this early on. not only does it soldifiy his election as mayor but we'll all assume he isn't a mafioso in the very beginning, making this game his. i'm only saying this : proceed with caution.

It shows that you have something to hide. Both the people with special abilities, (veterans, elders, etc) and the mafioso have something to hide. The townies want to get rid of the mafioso, and one of the best ways to do this, is look for those who have something to hide.

Of course, you can also use an edit to clarify your point, and not hide anything at all. The only problem with that, is that you can also clarify your point with another post, and avoid any suspicion. Looking at in this manner, the suspicion of edited posts is a system with positive feedback. However, since we've already started looking at edited posts with suspicion, the suspicion will only increase with time, there's nothing any of us can do about that.

well yes but the editing only occurs if the mafioso are idiots and type something that they shouldn't have. for the most part majority of the people that are editing haven't been the ones ive suspected as mafia members. it's the people who are telling us we can't edit. it gives the illusion that people against editing or saying "x edited his post, mafia!!!" that they themselves dont think editing is fair or a good way to find mafia members. i think by making editing into positive feedback ( as in people who edit have something to hide, mafia members have something to hide, therefore they must be mafia members ) mafia members will be able to convince people to lynch innocent townies .

well yes but the editing only occurs if the mafioso are idiots and type something that they shouldn't have. for the most part majority of the people that are editing haven't been the ones ive suspected as mafia members. it's the people who are telling us we can't edit. it gives the illusion that people against editing or saying "x edited his post, mafia!!!" that they themselves dont think editing is fair or a good way to find mafia members. i think by making editing into positive feedback ( as in people who edit have something to hide, mafia members have something to hide, therefore they must be mafia members ) mafia members will be able to convince people to lynch innocent townies .

You bring up a good point, but I still can't help but wonder what was in the original version of posts, and why they were edited.

I actually didn't change anything in my last edit, I just did that for giggles. mahnini's blank message was "hi mods" pre-edit. That's all I know.

exactly what i thought and said

Not like it was hard to figure out =/

It went way over CDRdude's head:/

I'm vertically challenged, that's all

oooooooooh! you're vertically challenged you say? "That was low, even for you" said another mafia." sound familiar? it makes sense. vertically challenged could mean that you're "low". what doesnt make sense is why you would intentionally make a statement like that. unless you want me to think that it doesnt make sense and a mafia member would never give himself away because you're ............MAFIOSO!!

But did the illustrious organisers know this? If not, i can't say it's a particularly amazing piece of evidence... rather stupid slip up to make. Surely he's read the new day post too. If he was a mafia, he would be thinking "oh dear... that one is me!" then be on his guard against letting on that he was short.

he wants us to think that he would be on his guard. the most effective mafioso is someone who is non-chalant like that. i think the slip up was intentional, but you're right i dont know if it really links him to the clue. maybe it was a red herring or something, cdrdude knew that and used it to his advantage

Dammit, I made that vertically challenged post AFTER the clue was posted. Look at the timestamps. Also, look at what I was replying to.

Wow... can't edit.

Funny that I was just advocating that if you had read it, you wouldn't have made that mistake... then you tell us that you hadn't read it when you posted the message... interesting....

You misunderstand me (or I'm missing your point, one of the two). What I'm saying, is that unless Chuiu can predict the future, he could not have meant that specific remark of mine to be a clue, because the clue about "that's low, even for you" was posted before my comment about height.

but if you're a mafia member you know that it was a red herring and it points to none of the mafia members. you saw the posts that spent time analyzing that clue. knowing it was a red herring while other people didn't, you intentionally slipped. this 'slip' was supposed to make us believe you arent a mafia member because you wouldn't leave a clue like that. And you cant make the excuse that the clue didnt point to you so your comment has nothing to do with it. okay so the clue didnt point to you and it may not point to anyone, but you did that on purpose to make yourself look like an "idiot mafioso ", but really you knew it would make us all think that you were a townie instead because mafia members can't be that dumb and just give away clues like that.

why is everyone jumping all over dr.dragoon when that screenshot/pm (if it happened looked) like an obvious joke. the mafia know who each other are, so why would he pm someone like that?

i posted this awhile back, but it sums up why i think dragoon may be a mafioso.

"i sincerely believe dr.dragoon is mafia because of his reaction to shallow[bay]'s print screen. It does state in the very beginning that mafia members know other mafia members. why would dr.dragoon say shallow[bay] was a mafia member if he knew he was a mafia member himself?a rule we are all well aware of ( if we read the rules which im assuming you did) it's because dr.dragoon wanted to throw everyone into confusion! i think what dr.dragoon did is very cunning. he knew that it would be screen shotted. with this in mind he used a poor bait to throw us off. it wasn't that he was trying to bait shallow[bay] into admitting he was another mafia member ( because if shallow[bay] were he would know if dr.dragoon was a mafia member or not) it's because he wanted to use that poor attempt of a trap to really steer us away from believing he was a mafia member. now this is why i think shallow[bay] could be a mafia member. either dr.dragoon and shallow]bay] planned this, because for shallow[bay] to accuse dr.dragoon and post 'incriminating' evidence would mean that shallow[bay] has a shallow intelligence or because they both planned this out."
